hi starrysmile! =) well, if you're living in a dorm, you should bring a refrigerator and microwave, and of course your belongings that you think are necessary. And also, your personal hygiene products.

^Lol, most definately.
If you go to stores like Bed, Bath, and Beyond, they have lists in their store to help you. (You don't need all the stuff on their list, but it helped me figure out what I needed.) Also, my school sent me a list of "items found helpful" by new students. They mentioned things like: alarm clock, q-tips, nail clippers....
I move in 3 weeks from wednesday (yikes!) and basically over the few weeks I've noticed what I use everyday. I recommend just paying attention to the things you use the next few weeks and write down a list of things you need to pack. Also, if you don't want to bring all you're stuff, try living off the stuff you are planning to take with you for a week or two, if it's too difficult adjust your packing list. But if you forget something, its not the end of the world, there should be places to buy stuff near your school. My school is even offering a shuttle to the nearest Target the Sunday after move-in for any students to need to go out and buy something.

My best advice is to pack only the bare essentials. You don't need a whole closet full of clothes - just take your favorite 10 sets and maybe one for events (like a dress or a suit)... I had so much crap my first year that I didn't even really need and it sucked balls packing them to go back home >_<;;

Bring clothes that suit the weather of your college, preferably clothes that can be machine washed!
Bring lots of pictures of ur friends and family to remind u of them when u're away =)
laundry bags..a hairdryer..vitamins and general first aid stuff..cough drops..( u really don't wanna be ill in college..it sucks!)
Don't bring too much though cuz once u're there u'll find out what you need and you can just buy those stuff then..
for me..i brought wayyy too much clothes that I had no where to store my stuff..
When I packed to move out of my dorm i realized that I had like 20 pairs of shoes and 30 jackets.. O____ o
Lastly but most importantly bring an open mind =)
good luck..it's gonna be a blast!!

Robe is very very helpful.
Lots of medicine, bring vitamins and all your supplements - You don't want to be unhealthy now.
Some rooms have REALLY poor lighting, so I would suggest a desk lamp or a floor lamp ******
Seat cushion, chairs are not very comfy there, you butt would hurt after a few hours of sitting on a chair and studying.

No. Shower slippers are essential to par take in communal college bathroom cleansing activities. Or else, campus police will give you violation citations.
Beach sandals will just not do. But if you insist...
