Ok .. hopefully this goes in here, but I was wondering how many total hours should an internship be? I'm getting offered a chance to intern for a fashion designer (small scale) and she asked how many hours I would like to commit to as an intern.

Also, they usually have like a beginning-ending date right? so that you have the full total hours, and that's why the question pops up sorry I'm new at this.

I think it depends on your schedule. I don't know much, based on your description, about your internship. I'd recommend you do long-term internship, since you can learn a lot in the long run.

I don't know anything about your schedule, but its a chance to learn how to prioritize things. I don't recommend you spend a lot of hours in one day doing an internship, but instead, space it out. Like, spend a few hours a day or a week doing your internship. But, it all depends on your schedule. There really isn't no "set" amount of hours for an internship. As long as you like it and you learn much from it, I think that's all that matters.

^^ yay thanks :] I read about internship for those fashion magazines and they have like a semester for beginning and ending dates so I thought you should intern for a certain time or hours. but that's all clear now ^^

i dont really know
but all seniors have to do an internship for 150 hours during their summer
well.. all seniors in a particular program at my school.
and they 150 hours so.. i dont know about you though.

^^ oh so maybe there is a minimum hours O_o hahah its probably like a career program.
