wow if this is right, there's such a difference between her career in korea and japan. She's barely in her homeland anymore and it seems that having only 4 original korean singles is disappointing. I guess most of them were just translated from japanese to korean? and she only barely appears on any shows except music programs in korea, which makes complete sense, but in japan she appears apparently in any kind of show which is kind of

or fans in korea who adore her. However, she managed to establish herself in two countries very well and she needs a break before she breaks down from too much work.

it seems she's focusing her career in japan a lot more than in her own country! she should def. break into the US market like what BI is doing right now..she can def. do it!

^^^....i wish she'll hold a concert in Madison Square Garden....i'll wait forever on line just to buy her tickets....eh....but i didnt go see Bi's concert because i have no interest in his songs ....i even saw him on TRL...outside of the MTV studio....

^yeahh. I wish she would promote in US too. I was sooo ticked off when I saw Bi in Time;s 100 Monday. I was ranting to my mom about how BoA should get it xD

JYP is really focusing on Bi's US Career..i mean if Sm would do the same for Boa since she already big in Japan then that would be awesome!

it was never popular in korea to have single albums, so she only has a few. the trend only started recently.

i don't think boa will go to the U.S. any time soon. both lee soo man and boa have said that she is to break into the chinese market and take over asia first.

i'm anticipating the perf. from the recent concert as well~

I was really surprised to see Bi on that 100 most influential people list. I seriously don't see how...

Yes what winG* said was right about SM focusing on BoA breaking into Chinese market. Thats why they are saying shes going to be an actress cause I guess they pay more attention to acting rather than singing.
(Jang Nara is doing both acting and singing in China! shes pretty popular there)

I also think that the Wholeeee Bi thing in the Times magazine is kinda =X.... IF Not BOA then I think Bae Young Joon deserves it more than Bi does!! dude there are friggen Yoon Sama fans everywhere.

andfor the onJung concert.. i think jessiep is right... cause i only found pictures of the SM singers perform (kangta, boa, dbsg) + Byul. didn't see any pics of Chaeyeon and the others that were supposed to perform

^ Yeah, I've been wondering about this thing to..., espeically with how they ended up picking Bi...
Bi is big, but I think BoA had more help in influencing into areas such as politics between Japan and Korea. And definitely Bae Young Jun... this guy. If anyone, I think Bae Youngjun should've been picked over Bi and BoA. He nearly started the whole Korea boom, especially with Winter Sonata. And I'm not just saying this because I'm his fan (far from it - I didn't like Winter Sonata and stopped watching after like a couple episodes LOL)....but just looking at the social and economic impact he had seemed more influential...
The only person I really agree on out of the 3 Koreans picked for the Time Magazine's list would be the Dr. in MA. He's done some seriously good work.

i agree with taht also.
i think thats one of the MAIN reasons on why he got picked.

if he does debut in the states by the end of this year he must of gotten that huge accent away.. cause he had a bigger accent than Se7en!! and Se7en is trying to debutin 2007 ! lol you get why?

anyways I think BoA will be better off trying to win fans over in China rather than doing so in the states.. because for ANY asian singer it has been hard (to debut in the U.S.)
