I love, love, love the book. Please tell me someone has at least read Pride and Prejudice because I want to share my love for it! How cheesy. blush.gif

This book is keeping me from sleeping at night because I can't put it down. I'm about haalfway done and I'm trying to read slower so that I wont finish it so quickly. I highly recommend it to anyone who was the same with the original.

I've read both of the sequel from Linda Berdoll...and i gotta tell you (imo) she had written one of the best sequls out there...

I've read other sequels before...but i think Berdoll is the best out there...she add spices to Lizzy and Mr. Darcy

but of course no one can beat Austen

On other note: are any of you guy gonna go watch Becoming Jane

Of course it doesn't match up to the original but I would say it comes in close second! It's of their relationship afterwards, their marriage. All I can say is that I wish my boyfriend were half the man Darcy is! Haha.

There are a lot of sequels. I'm hoping to read them all rolleyes.gif, despite the reviews.

Yes, definitely some..."spice", hahaha! It definitely fills in the space that Austen did not blush.gif.

I really want to see Becoming Jane, I'm so excited!

I read it quite a while ago, I rem it's a good read with a romance/erotic novel vibe to it smile.gif...but in no way can it measure up to P&P which every word is precise and witty... I still reread it every year and actually couple of my gfs ar organizing our yrly PP marathon of the BBC (THE BEST) series soon.....gosh every single sizzling stare btn Lizzy and Darcy in that drama makes my heart skip several beats or just put me into a fibrillation.

I cant wait for becoming Jane!!!! w00t.gif

there's also this book 'Desire and Duty' also a sequel... just right after the wedding... but it's more focused on Darcy's little sister ...

i'm also a P&P addict!!! heheh i did a bbc P&P 5hour marathon in my house together with some friends... i have the Keira Knightly and the BBC versions on DVD... i just love Jane Austen!

I highly recommend High School, Husband and Wife and Loveseed's Fanfix'!

Where did you buy Mr. Darcy takes a wife? I have searched national bookstore here in manila but I haven't been able to get a copy of that book?

I want to, but I'm kind of hesitant because I fear that it wouldn't be as good as Jane Austens writings.

It is not as good as Jane Austen's writings (and frankly very very few books in this genre are) but it's still an enjoyable read (for 18 or above though laugh.gif) and I think u have to read it without the original Lizzy and Darcy in mind.

It's the author's free reign on what happend right after P&P left off...fr what I rem it goes into very raw details on what happend the wedding nite and so forth.... the writing is still kinda in the style of that era, but it has a day-time soap vibe to it. And actually I think it's more leaning towards erotica at parts than romance novel.

It's still an entertaining read though (if u r not disturbed on reading some raunchy stuff), and comparing any book to P&P is just putting it to an unfair disadvantage! smile.gif

I'm a big P&P fan but, where have I been living, haven't heard of these sequels ohmy.gif Oi vaye! When I saw the title I thought it's a movie, that's interesting though. I'm gonna get those books and see (but as you've already said nobody can beat Austen, duh!)
