QUOTE
Street style and urban chic are the defining themes for mix-style, a Japan-based brand known for its distinctive, anime-flavored mix-style headphones. Launched in 2005, the headphones come in a variety of unique designs, ranging from cheerfully colorful to boldly alternative. Deliciously funky and enormously fun, mix-style headphones provide fashionable individuals with an eye-catching way of listening to music or simply standing out from the crowd.

original sites: rakuten MixStyle

Heyyy~ My friend from San Francisco has those! But we don't talk

I think I'm going to go buy me one. >_> (( $23 seems cheap for it ))

I had them. Honestly, don't get them. They're super uncomfortable and the sound isn't that great either... I'd rather get a sennheiser - it's uglier, but the sound is worlds apart.

I'd like to think of them as a great alternative for whatever came with your mp3 player, rather than as an audiophile's choice for headphones.

Are those specs correct? If they are, thats downright terrible... 500-20000hz is like having almost no bass at all, the sensitivity rating of 90db is almost pretty poor and the power handling of 0.2 watts is just terrible...

Look for Audio-Technica if you want SQ and somewhat good style.
Check ATH-FC7 and ATH-ES7.

Werd. Dish out that extra $100 and get a decent pair of headphones. Unless you're really just looking for something that looks pretty. But if you're concerned about sound quality, don't get those.

i searched mix style headphones
O_O
but there was only one result...only one person is selling them

i just searched up the frequency levels
and apparently these headphones have the
same frequency response as ipod earphones?
does that mean my earphones suck?

i also looked up audio technica and its not bad
the style isnt as ugly...but the price is 100 dollars more..
all i need to decide now is whether i should spend the money or not
oh and to one replyer up there ^^
i think i might be buying this for fashion purposes...
unless i can find a bettter headphone that looks just as cute

Well, if you're just going to be plugging into an iPod, I'd just suggest getting some decent headphones or earbuds. For most people, unless you're filthy rich, splurging on some industry quality top model Shure or Sennheisers is just overkill--an iPod isn't that great of a source so it'll just be a waste since you're just listening to some compressed audio in places with a lot of external ambient noise. You could probably pick up some Shure earbuds (e2c) for under $100 but if you're really interested in full sized cans that's a whole different story. I think you're more into the cute look than accurate sound reproduction though, and I don't blame you biggrin.gif Cute cans...the headphones I mean blush.gif Don't know about the quality though..looks like they might break easily?

Go lineout or get an iMod to replace the poor internal DAC?
Or normal iPod through headphone-out shouldn't be that bad; I've used e3c and er4p and the only complaint I had was the sensitivity/impedance match (resulting in slight hiss).

apparently the altec lansing im716 or something is just as good as high-end headphone brands. i personally prefer cans, using a pair of audio technica a700s, good sound although apparently the a900 is a lot better, but i personally couldn't hear the difference.
