Hi guys.. (hopefully this goes in the health, beauty, and fashion forums..)

I was just wondering when you all stopped growing...

It's because I'm pretty short and I'm pretty much at the limit of when you're suppose to stop growing...

so maybe their is hope for me *looks up with a HOPEFUL FACE..

Many people say there's a particular age or some years after you hit puberty is when you will stop. But I believe it all depends on the individual, different factors can come into play~i.e depending on your health, family history...

So I say there is hope for you, never stop being hopeful.

I grew really fast as a child and was already about 5ft at the age of ten, then I sort of just stopped. HAHAHA. It sucked! But surprisingly I got a growth spurt after high school and got a few inches. Health comes into play with reaching your maximum growth potential for height, but that potential height is somewhat predetermined by your genes.

I know guys are supposed to completely stop growing by 21. Girls are a bit earlier I believe (cuz generally they get puberty before guys too).

Well, I guess I've reached my limit already. I'm 22. Don't think I'll grow anymore. ;D

I think I stopped around 16-17, now I'm 20 at 5'4

Girls generally stop growing at age 14-18, while boys stop around 16-21, so it varies for different people.

also for girls! Your boobs generally stop growing about 4 years after puberty.

Stopped at 14 or early 15 for me, unfortunately. Two years, and I haven't grown at all. I've been told by my doctor that there will be no more growing for me. ;-;
I'm 16 now, and stand at only 4'10". o-o;

I'm still growing @ 19 and I'm 6'36"...In 3 or 4 years, I would reach 6'46" maybe , but I'm not sure of it.

and lots of people are saying genes are a factor.. so my parents aren't short they're 5' 7" <--- that's not short right,.... that's average.. im guessing..

what kinds of exercise "supposedly" makes you grow....

I heard basketball because you jump and stretch a lot but I see a lot of short basketball players... so yea.... -_______- LOL

any suggestions of what excerises or activities that you THINK helped you grow.. ?

I stopped growing around 15-16. I'm 19 and 5'3. I'm content with my height. =)

I stopped growing when I was about 14-15...It's really depressing...I'm only 5'4''...and I would love to be taller.

I stopped growing around my 17-18 I think. I'm 1,74 m. I wish I was shorter. Apparantly I'm the tallest female in my whole family (including cousins etc..).

I heard from my Biology teacher that girls have a small growth spurt when they're pregnant... or something. >___>;; But VERY small though. Probably not even a few inches.

As for me, I stopped (or shall I say, slowed down?) growing around 15 or 16... I think. Maybe earlier.

=[ i went to the doctors today to get an ex-ray and he said im only going to grow a few more centimeters because i have bones of a 15 year old. i was so shocked. btw im only 13 and 5'2 - 5'3 and my goal hight was 5'6-5'8. im so depressed now. my sister is about 5'5 and 15 years old ... im so jeulous!

i stopped growing in 6th grade
i basically wanted to get thinner so i ate alot less and it was the worst mistake of my life; because of it im not gonna grow anymore and im 4'10 right now...the doctor says im probably gonna grow another inch or so and thats it
yeah genes r a factor my whole family is pretty short; my mom is 5'0-5'1 and my dad is 5'4-5'5
my parents got so desperate one time that they took me to the doctor for me to get a growth hormone injected in me so i can grow, but the doctors said my bones were already hard and it was too late
its kinda depressing but think about it: when ur short, u can get the short guys AND the tall guys ahaha
sry to be such a downer
but dont give up...im sure it just takes time, im only 14 so im hoping i can grow a little more at least
