I'm going to be a senior this year (graduating in 2008), and I was wondering, when is the latest I can take the SAT (for the 2nd time)? I already took it once, and I want to take it again to improve my score. I know I can take it during October, but can I take it during November and December too? I heard that you can take it in Nov. and Dec. if you are not going to do early decision. Am I right?
And also, I live in the west coast, so is it necessary to take the ACT?

Dec for some colleges (but you may have to pay outrageous fee for rush delivery), most people wants it to be safe and take it oct/nov.

Yes, you are right. If you want to apply for early decision, you must do it before November and have the scores sent directly to that college. Actually, the latest you can the SATs as a senior is March, but that's only if you're applying to a school that has rolling admissions. For regular decision, you can take the SAT as late as December.

it really depends on the college you are applying to, check out their website for more info, usually its around dec.

Depending on how quickly you receive your scores, which is a few weeks after, the latest to take the test, for UC's, would be December since scores are directly sent to the UCs.
However, to be the on the safe side, the latest would be in November.

Talking to seniors from last year, to be safe, take them in October. And SAT subjects can be taken all the way until December is what I`m told. But I only know this for California, since the UC apps have to be in by the end of November. xD I have to take my SAT again too this October. Joy -__-"

is it possible to take the sat iis in november and still apply for early decision?
or would that be pushing it?
im planning on retaking the sats in october because i wasnt satisfied with my score. so the one in october will be the second time im taking it.
and then im planning on retaking my sat iis in november because i wasnt satisfied with them the first time i took them either.
hmm. and im wondering whether or not i should take the acts.
im planning on applying to schools in the east coast and maybe michigan/illinois area as well.
