I'm not sure when or why it happens to me but whenever I'm playing some sort of 3D game such as Counter Strike or some game on Nintendo 64 (mario kart), I become really dizzy after awhile. It's really odd because I use to play Mario Kart for 6-7 hours straight and now I can't even play it for 30 minutes without getting dizzy. This is the same for Counter Strike, just watching someone play will make me dizzy >.< Need a Whole lot panadols lol.
Does this happen to you guys ?

Maybe it's because now you're really focused into the game o_o Just a thought.

Motion sickness? You probably get it through certain games. Even though you get sick playing CS, you could still play other FPS games without any problems whatsoever.
It boils down to how the camera is handled in FPS' and the speed in Mario Kart.

For some reason I always get dizzy from playing first person shooter games
. (that's why I don't play them often anymore nowadays)
But mostly in the booklets of the videogames I buy, I also read that it's not healthy playing for more than 2 hours straight or something. Maybe you got the side effect from playing it for more than 2 hours straight? I dunno, just sharing a thought here..

pretty much only in really dark, repetitive environment fps games eg. Half Life 2. but in ones in big outdoor areas like cs and bf2
no problems.

Yeah this happens to me sometimes, mostly for computer games. it's weird looking away from the screen after playing for a while cause I get really dizzy.
For console games, I dont get too dizzy. But my eyes get really teary and sometimes I have to hide my face cause tears are literally about to pour.. mustve been too focused and didnt blink lol

I got a migrane once from playing a video game
it was awful, I was in tears... because my head hurt so much... I couldn't stop the tears. Lol, okay that's all. But computer games & such, they don't make me dizzy. Just that one video game ><.

i used to when i was a lot younger, but that was (i figured) because of my monitor. It was an old old crt monitor, probably had a bad refresh rate and stuff and whatnot.
changed when i got a lot older, no problems.

that's because you're not a TRUE gamer yet. lol
yeah when you play these games that will happen. What can help is move your body with the direction.
Like in CS if your moving and turning left kinda tilt your head or body slightly to the left. This will let the ear fluid in your ears know you are physically moving in that direction and won't contradict what your eyes are seeing.
which is why i get sick when watching other people play.

that's cuz those games don't require that much moving. Play Unreal Tournament, now that'll get you motion sick!. Note, a lot of FPS's have "head bob" turned on, which I find very annoying because it causes a little screen shaking (which distracts me from killing things), that might add to your dizziness. I think it also helps that you're the one playing, because you kinda know what you're going to be looking at.
