well, today i saw an ad (for fry's) that there will be having a rebate for the creative xmod
total price comes to $29 (after a $30 rebate)

so does the creative xmod make a big noticeable difference in sound quality?
i've seen a broad range of reviews for this product.
some ppl say it's really good, and there's some that say it just sucks and doesn't make a big difference.
so for those who use it, do you recommend it?
thanks rolleyes.gif

btw i use a dell laptop with built-in sound card that comes with it.
usually i listen to my music on my creative inspire t3000 2.1 speakers

Depends on how much you value sound quality. Think about it this way, if you're a true audiophile, 30 dollars is hardly anything...because the cost of ear/headphones is already overwhelming. Worst case scenario, you spent a bit of money to try something out that might've helped. My opinion on the Xmod is that it probably won't do much good if you have a pretty good equalizer (and you know how to use it) on whatever you're hooking it up to. Of course I could be totally wrong. The Xmod might do more than just fiddle around with equalizer settings.

Why can't you be . . . the part of me that's missing?
Instead of leaving me for some other.
Say we're perfect for each other . . .
