Keyword being 'used'. =P I'm adjusting, I find it hard to come from years of Trojan-dom to this. I'm legacy and it's ran in my family but ultimately, I chose UCLA because they gave me a huge financial package. I'm practically attending for free. biggrin.gif

Arghhh I just got my housing offer and they put me in the Suites. I requested plazas (three times! LOL) I'd really rather live in the res halls than the suites...what should I do? Can I reject their offer and apply again? D: Or maybe accept it and send in a change of assignment? =/ Ah, I'm panicking.!

No, don't reject it. Call the housing office and talk to the director or look for someone to switch with you. They will do switches.

*WAVES* Incoming UCLA Bruin, c/o 2013 right here~ smile.gif At least, I hope...

Are you serious with the Financial Aid stuff? That's not cool... I still need to send in my verification stuff, but now I'm trippin' because I thought I had much of it all covered~ My total tuition was half paid in the scholarship, grants, etc., so I'm freaking out now. ACK! Not good!

But i'm certainly looking forward to everything to the Bruin life! ^^

I got put into Hedrick too. I was trying to find reviews for it, and all I saaw was that it was pretty much one of the furthest from classes.

Yeah, it's far from classes and the building is kind of old but it has a good social scene. I'm lucky to get priority on housing because I know some people who know some people. wink.gif

I wanted the residence halls (requested three times for preference box thingy) for the college experience even if it was noisy. Instead I got the Hitch suites, no offense the picture looked bleh. Plus it costs like $3000 more. I'm too poor already with the whole financial loans thing. How do I ask to be switched to residence hall? YIpppeee can't wait to be eating ramen until I puke. At least I get some exercise walking the Jans steps(can't spell).

I think you have to first accept the housing offer, then switch it. Call housing office in case though.

Yes. And never reject a housing offer without speaking to a housing director or employee. If you reject your offer, you will be put in a raffle for housing.

I called, and they said I can only change it through a Change of Assignment Request. I already sent one of those in....any tips/hints for trying to get it changed? You seem knowledgeable on this topic, haha.

Check financial aid stuff by logging into myFAO because i have never been told to do things via email. I usually find out when I randomly goto myFAO lol.
