She came back with powerful moves and a more improved voice and song with Sam Sung's Anyclub.

The girl she plays in the video...is a lot like Lee Hyori herself.

Though she had nothing, her heart was always warm...

Though it was all hard work, she sparkles.

In one phrase, her charm is her passion and hard working ways...

And also her ability to portray both a sophistocated woman and also a young, pure girl.

Kim Jae Dong : She has overall talent.

I dunno if this is the right description, but I think she's just an excellent all round entertainer.

When she's on stage, she has a middle range of a regular singer's talent...but she has ability to just naturally look and send vibes that tell her audience and fans that she's so happy with what she's doing...and she's so glad to be doing it for them

Gil Gun (Singer) : She's even sexy to a girl.

Man, even as the same sex of the female, I'm always like, "Biatch , why are you so sexy?"

Like when we go to No Rae Bang (kereoke) together with friends, she just dances to the music and she seduces everybody there...even all the girls. (laughs)

Ock Ju Hyun (Singer): She has every characteristic trait.

Sometimes she can be extremely hot and sexy...and other times she can be so cute and adorable, and so forth...which is why I personally think many love her and she has a lot of people looking up to her and wanting to be like her.

No matter what she does or where she is....Lee Hyori can come out and just be herself.

She is the all round entertained to everybody; not just to the audience...but to those around her. She's the one who makes everybody smile.

Year 2003 was her year.

Everywhere we looked, everywhere we turned, she was there.

Hyori Syndrome, Hyori followers...

Her effect blasted through our country like a bomb.

Her two sisters[Lee Eh Ri, Lee Yu Ri] : Our dad was proud.

Every day during her big time, our dad used to go to the store EVERY single day to buy all the newspaper that Hyori was in.

He could've ordered them so they could be delivered to our house, but he used to go out and just buy them himself.

Interviewer: Why do you think so?

Sisters:

I think it was because when he bought them and she was on the front cover, he liked to proudly tell them that that's his youngest little girl.

In the very beginning of her stardom, she was just a young girl.

When de-tatching away from FinKL, her first step to being known to the world, as a solo star, Lee Hyori....her imagination at that time would have never reached this far to how successful she changed to be.

Starting from her trademark of "getting" a man within 10 minutes to her cool personality she showed on TV, she was very far from being the normal kind of sexy that most women have shown in the past.

Kim Jak Ga (Writer/Editor for Magazine) : Lee Hyori's Sexiness....is a Sexiness that betrays Sexiness.

She seduces the audience with just being herself.

She gives off regular hot, sexy sparks....but then also shows the down to earth and cool personality of hers.

If you see her on stage, she's just drop dead sexy....but when you watch her on Happy Together or other TV shows, she doesn't try to be hot and simply acts like herself...

So the two traits mix and match together and balances out; giving the apperance of a kind of sexiness that 'Sexy' has never been introduced to before.

Light, comfortable, and honest ways...

Shin Dong Yup ( Comedian/Partner MC for Happy Together) : I couldn't agree with the term Sexy about Lee Hyori.

When the whole world started calling Hyori sexy...that was something I couldn't completely agree with.

Knowing her personally so well, she talks about things that are so random and funny...being a special...but normal particular girl.

On Happy Together, she would discuss things and tell stories like her farting or snoring, etc. etc....and she would talk about them in ways that are so hilarious...but not disgusting or nasty while being well mannered -- telling those stories and showing people that she's not some person made of gold and can be a comfortable, every day girl...And I believe that those stories gave a lot of laughter, fun, comfort and joy to our Happy Together's audience, to our guests on the show and also to myself as her partner MC, which I really respect about her and find it a charm that's actually very hard to find in a lot of people.

Yoon Hyun Joon (Happy Together Staff) : She's as funny, if not funnier, as Comedians.
Hyori's stories on the show were more of an attention grabber than the guests.

She's not some comedian or like well known as an hilarious person, but I really don't think she PLANNED any of the stuff she said on the our show, nor was it scripted...but it was all so funny and comical.

Her stories about her past weren't wrapped in some fake wrapping paper or masked, but she told them so honestly and truthfully and made them funny at the same time...

Famous, but normal....Sparkles, but humble...

Because of all this, Lee Hyori is a star that's actually not too far from all of us.

Even if she wears the world's most fashionable and greatest outfit...she makes it seem so easy for regular people like us to just wanna follow.

Jun Ryung Lin (Friend) : She was always like a Stylist.

During high school, we went to a girl's high school...and going to events where we mixed with the boys' school were a big deal for us...

So Hyori used to tell us what to do and what to wear when we go to the events.

Like if we had four friends...she would take her time before that day to draw all four of us wearing what she thought would look good on us...and she would show us how to do the hair and help us with our clothes.

Like she was our coordinator or stylist.

Lee Hyori's style isn't too difficult.

It's a kind of fashion that's faster than the rest of us...but also looks regular and comfortable.

With a fashion-mind like that since high school, Lee Hyori used her art skills to show her interest in clothes.

Jeong Bo Yoon (Coordinator/Stylist) : She's a very Intimidating Celebrity.

Honestly, she doesn't seem like she studies that much, doesn't it? (laughs)

But actually, she reads a lot of books...and also about fashion and she's so interested in clothes all the time that...

If I don't study my fashion more and more...it's really hard for me to satisfy Hyori.

Wavy hair, exhillerating jumpers, tank tops and jeans, cute miniskirts, and even boyish looking pants...

Whatever Lee Hyori wears...it becomes a complimenting fashion statement.

The ways she mixed and matches them...it becomes the newest trend.

But, there's one piece of clothing that nobody but Lee Hyori herself can wear.

The strong, but smooth abs and waistline that goes beneath those shirts and tank tops...

Her stomach became a trademark of hers.

Ock Ju Hyun (Singer) :

She has the ideal stomach and abs.

24 inches...and the right amount of muscles and abs with the right length of a waist. It's not like too skinny.

And her abs aren't like a six pack and honestly...it looks kind of weird if a girl has too much of a six pack...but she knows how to keep that right balance of her stomach.

And another gift of hers...

Her beautiful eyes.

Lee Hyori has eyes have as many different kinds of traits as the colors of the rainbow.

They can be piercing and sexy...and at other times, she can talk to you with the eyes of a normal downtown city girl...

And in less than a second, behind the change to those innocent smiling, crescent moon eyes, you can find the pure as milk simplicity sparkle of a young child.

I think as much as her eyes...They're something that nobody else can really follow.

Just...not the smiling eyes that are forced for a picture or snapshot...but at those random times when she bursts out laughing at something funny are the eyes that I find most attractive and different from other people.
Honesty and Confidence...

Those traits about Hyori are even behind and inside the film...

Kim Joong Man (Professional Photographer) : She doesn't have to be "Girly"

Her personality of...not always HAVING to be a pretty girl or a princess...I find it somewhat an unspoken, unconcious sort of confidence in herself.

And when a she says her pictures don't have to be girly or one certain kind of way...it gives the photographer a much more wider range of choices to use.

Not just "pretty" or "girly" but something that can portray character...I think she has that sort of charm in her.

A firey past and a hot passion for living...and some icey cold ways that grab people's attention...

Lee Hyori is a young global woman who lives a life of being 'hot and cool'.

But being the Jennifer Lopez of Korea...

The dancer...singer...fashion leader

Behind all that there lives a strong, hard working, almost scary passion for her job...

Kim Do Hyun (Writer for her First Album) : No rest~

Even if it isn't her job, Hyori's always there with us when we write music for her album.

And someties when us music writers write music...we get writer's block and don't really know what to do...or we get tired and think that we should take a break...

But then when I and our other writers started taking breaks for her album...her own time of waiting took longer because she wasn't working on it...

So she would make up rules for us not to rest and sit right behind us in our writing room to make sure that we we're not wasting our time. (laughs)

Park Sung Jin (Backdancer) : She goes way Beyond.

There were times when she got sick, had colds and had her back hurting a lot...

And she would look almost dead before we started our rehearsals.

But once we got started on rehearsing...if we planned to rehearse for 5 hours...she would keep going without stopping till about 8 or 9 hours...

It's like...she looked super tired when she's not rehearsing...and then when she started...she'd put away all her tiredness away and work hard without complaints...

She's a rare singer who works harder than us backdancers on dances...One of those rare people who even makes US exhausted of dancing...

The tremendous amounts of attention and expectations pushing towards her...



Was a reason why even during her top times, she had eyes of worry.

Lee Eh Ri (Oldest sister): After she got her daesangs...at home, Hyori was really...actually not doing so well. She felt more burden on her shoulders and felt like she had so much better things she needed to show after she had gotten those awards.
The awards that are the best you can recieve if you have the title of a singer...

But before being thrilled about receiving it, Lee Hyori had wonderings if she had done enough to deserve it all.

Behind that name we're so comfortable and used to saying as a superstar...there's a soul with many particular, 'regular girl' charms about this star.

On her way home from work...she stops by at the stands for a glass of soju and sizzling meat to go with it.

Suh Seung In (Owner of her favorite stand) : She likes pork more than lamb with her soju...and later for a late meal, she always has Dwen Jang Jji Gae (Korean Stew) with rice and puts in Kkakdugi (radish kimchi) and kimchi juice with the stew to add spice to it.

In her backyard grows the many many fruits and vegetables that Lee Hyori takes care of herself. Just like her fresh personality, her taste in eating is the same way.

Sisters: During the summer, she grows things like squash and lettuce and stuff here...and when she gets home at work, she's alone and it's kind of annoying to set out all those different dishes to eat dinner...so she just comes out to her backyard and pulls out the lettuce and mixes it with her rice and kimchi and eats it right here on the spot.

Shin Dong Yup (Comedian/Happy Together's Partner MC) : She's so down to earth and such an honest person. And I think because of that...I think most people who know her or who have met her find more attraction to the regular Lee Hyori rather than the alluring, famous and star Lee Hyori.

The girl who says she feels most uncomfortable around extremely high class and important people...

The one who looks best being natural and no makeup...

Before stardom or now...More than anybody, she was and is just another normal girl...

The letters to her friends from ten years ago during her high school days...

Chattering with her girls, writing letters and talking about her day and problems to her friends...That was the teenager version of the Lee Hyori we all know.

How to share hear heart...How to build up her friendships...

Those every day thoughts that all high school girls have....were all as just as important to teenage Hyori as how to do her hair and how to wear her clothes...

She was always and still....a friend that reached out first.

Sung Eun Jun (Dance Choreographer) : She's not what she Seems

Honestly, in the very beginning...it was hard to approach her first.

Since she was already so famous and all...I thought that it would be a tough thing to go talk to her..

But once I got to know her, she's the one who approaches first, talks to you first...with a down to earth personality, easy to conversate with, nowehre near conceited.

Not a princess who sits high upon her throne, but she describes herself as somebody underneath the same sky as everybody else, breathes the same air, cries and laughs the same ways as you and I...

Lee Hyori is as comfortable as your next door unni...Somebody you feel like is a friend you've known for a long period of time...A celebrity you can almost easily take advantage of.

She is the energizer who makes everybody around her smiling and laughing.

Cha Eun Taek (Music Video Director) : Once, Hyori shot a music video for...seriously no exhaggeration...50 hours straight nonstop with no rest. Near the end of the shoot, I was worried that something might happen to her from exhaustion...myself being completely burnt out...but we took a break after the 50 hours for a while and everybody just sat threw themselves on chairs or the ground...and when Hyori walked out of the music video scene, she didn't sit or rest herself, but started to massage some of our backs and arms...and that doesn't sound like much...but if you were really in that exhausted situation...seeing somebody like that at that time really really touches you and melts your heart.

She reaches out her hand to anybody...And puts up a wall in front of nobody..
