Hi, I'm going to be a biology major at UCLA this fall too. But I'm only going to be a freshman so I have no idea what classes I'm going to take, since I haven't gone to orientation yet.

Shiznits, you guys are going to the really late orientation... just cross your fingers and hope that there are still spaces left for you in the classes you want to take.
Go here if you want better advice on anything UCLA. Welcome first-years and don't die yet! UCLA isn't the best in sciences compared to Berkeley or UCSD, but that doesn't mean the classes are any easier. You still have to study your butt off. Most of my friends who are life science majors took the following classes for their 1st year:
LS 1 & 2
Chem 14A, B
Eng Comp 3 [if you didn't get a 4 or better on your AP Language/Lit exams]
And that's all I can think of right now. You'll probably have to throw in the Physics 6 series somewhere in there as well. Good luck! You'll get more info from real experts once you get to orientation so don't sweat!
