you mean having red, blue, orange, or some other color as a blub for your headlights? If so, then yes, you will be pulled over; At least in Cali, you will.

I know a friend of mine who has the same car as I do... apparently the bulbs used in our REAR signal lights have a pretty crappy amber tint on it which flakes off over time, becoming a white color. I changed mine after noticing my rear signals were white colored. I guess my friend never noticed, but he got pulled over because of that. Got slapped with a fix it ticket.
Apparently you can have white signal lights in the front of your car, not the rear. If you live in California this government website will tell you whats legal and what not: http://www.dmv.ca.gov/pubs/vctop/vc/tocd12c2a3.htm
As for headlights, I personally stopped using those expensive, but craptastic Silverstar bulbs, which has a slight bluish tint to it, to give the output light more of a white color. I instead went with something less costly, but yet more effective (more light output), the GE Nighthawk series. It has the OEM bulb color look, but the distance I can see down the road is considerably better, than those fake a** silverstars or blue bulbs i've ever seen... I can't and won't do HID kits because I don't have projectors on my car and I don't want blinding other drivers with glare, thus causing a possible accident.
