No video format can play correctly on my computer; dvds don't even work . There just audio and no picture. I have tried downloading other video players such as Cyberlink PowerDVD, Media classic, Realplayer... etc. I've downloaded the K-Lite Codec Pack too. But the picture in the video still doesn't work , just leaving me with the audio playing, and purplish black screen.

Someone please help me.

I have no clue, but I give you credit for trying all that!

The purplish you describe might suggest video overlay issues such as video drivers or directx with issues. If it didnt start too long ago, you might consider a system restore to save some time in figuring this stuff out.
