Well, I thought that since i liked singing, I'd throw up a song, and see what you guys thought of it.
it's simple, but it's nice (well, when the pros sing it, it is, anyways...): here's my rendition of The Rose by... there are so many covers that I'm not quite sure who it's by, and I don't quite want to put in the work to find out something small like that. But I first heard Nakashima Mika's version.

anyways, any feedback is appreciated XD

I LOVE this song~ It's a classic.

Your voice is really nice, but it seems like you're singing too low and too softly. And because it's acapella, you should control your tempo more, cuz it speeds up and down randomly and it seems to cause you to get pitchy and switch keys mid-song. Put a little more emotion to it too. You should try singing it to an instrumental, it might help with all these.

Ooh I didn't know Mika Nakashima sang this song too! And I didn't know you were a guy actually, no offense of course.

Agree with Chrissy08 that you're singing too softly as though holding back, I feel you might sound quite powerful if you didn't hold back.

The 3 different keys was alittle funny, but you still sounded nice if you separate them out to listen to, hehe. Do more songs!

as for mika, I think sang it for a movie... I don't remember which one... but it's included in her single, 愛してる (aishiteru).

hm... holding back? well, it may have been because I'm used to singing while trying not to let other people hear =.=" anyways, I'll try to work on that =)
I'll try to do more songs when I have some time! (studying for my last final exam in my room at residence... and since I'm at rez, on a floor with several other people, I don't really want to sing that loudly >.>)

I reckon, try not to switch pitches too often. If so, do it correctly, ie, do the right modulations, not a random modulation that was not connected with the former, ie, jump a 5th, or a semitone etc, but don't do a random chord. Modulate in breaks, not in the middle of verses, choruses.

Your singing was cool, I felt you just held back too much. Not enough power inputted into your song. You started too low imo with timing issues, but your second verse are much better, and so was the third which was even better.
