Hey guys, I've always loved listening to that sort of artsy/indie/electro/post-revival rock. I've been neglecting this genre for a while and now getting back into it, except I don't know what's new and what's good at the moment.

The kind of bands I'm talking about:

Artic Monkeys
Belle & Sebastian
Bloc Party
Kaiser Chiefs
Kasabian
Kings of Conveinience
Klaxons
The Kooks
The Libertines
Maximo Park
Muse
OASIS
Razorlight
Richard Ashcroft/The Verve
White Rose Movement
The View

Can you guys possibly name any more? Much Help appreciated. smile.gif

some artsy bands:

arctic monkeys - best band in the effin world at the moment
little flame - they've disbanded but apparently they released an album in june b4 their break-up
the rascals - formed from 2 of the members from little flame
hot chip
pintshotriot
the draytones
the enemy - they're pretty big right now
blood red shoes
the cribs
dirty pretty things - carl barat's band after he left libertines
the duke spirit
the futureheads
the good, the bad and the queen - damon albarn's supergroup project along with paul simonon from the clash
howling bells - actually australian but are based in the uk
little barrie
little man tate
mark ronson - his new album 'Version' is a remix of popular uk tracks like Kaiser Chief's Oh My God and Radiohead's Just
the music - i recommend their song 'cessation' it's killer
the rakes
the young knives - post-punk revival band from Leichestershire

these are all reasonably new bands.. and if you need any australian indie rock bands, don't hesitate to ask cos i've got heaps.

i reccommend you check out NME magazine or even just the website cos they've got heaps of unsigned/indie bands from the UK that fit your tastes perfectly.

oh yeah The Horrors! i recently just listened to their 'Strange House' album and i bloody love it. at first i didn't get into them, mainly cos i was put off with their image cos i thought 'just another emo band'. but i was wrong, so never judge a band by their front cover or their looks.... whatevs.

i love the video for Simian Mobile Disco & Justice 'we are your friends'. it's hilarious when they realise the situation they're in!
