i'm going to college soon and i want to take my old desktop's printer with me since it works very well (it's a canon i860 if that's any help)

the only problem is.. the plugs that came with the printer are too big for the plugs on my laptop

so i've been looking for USB adapters for my printer but the ones i've found so far aren't compatible for vista

any help? sad.gif

try to look at one of these sites
tigerdirect.com newegg.com bestbuy.com or maybe any other tech sites you know that sell products... I honestly suggest any close tech store and ask them about it other then that I really suggest looking at newegg before anything else =) Good luck

Your printer has USB and parallel. So you just need a very standard USB A to B cable. Goes for about $6 you don't need a Parallel to USB adapter.

Since you use vista, I even checked the compatibility and its listed http://www.usa.canon.com/consumer/controll...mp;modelid=9387
