Not exactly, but it's kinda similar. ^^
I'll take a picture of it next time, since I... can't really explain it either. XD;

Thank you though!

I want to bake some apple based goodies before apple season is over, but I've never really baked with them before so I don't have any recipes! I'd really appreciate it if anyone could give me a killer recipe for apple crumble, apple pie, apple-nut muffins or anything else to do with apples! thanks~

Ooh, I'm getting hungry reading all these delicious recipies, thank you everyone!
My mom always has me make this for parties and stuff. As far as I know, it only works in a Pampered Chef pan because it won't stick. It might work in something else, but I've never tried it. Anyway, it's pretty easy.

PINEAPPLE UPSIDEDOWN CAKE
Ingredients:
1/2 cup butter
1 cup packed brown sugar
1 can pineapple slices (or chunks) undrained
Maraschino cherries
1 package yellow cake mix
3 eggs
1/3 cup veggie oil

Preheat oven to 350.
Melt butter in (Family 12-in Pampered Chef) skillet, then remove hear and stir in brown sugar until well blended. Spread evenly over bottom of skillet (I always found this to be the hardest part for some reason...)
Drain pineapple, reserving juice. Arrange slices (or chunks) over the brown sugar with cherries
Add enough water to saved pineapple juice to make 1 and 1/3 cups. In a bowl, mix cake mix, pineapple juice/water, eggs, and oil until well blended.
Pour over fruit and brown sugar in the pan (sometimes the cherries and pineapple will move a little, it's ok)
Bake 35-40 mins and let cool for about 5 mins. (Maybe longer)
Carefully loosen edges of cake and flip over onto a plate or platter.
You can let it cool a little longer and garnish with whipped creme, or add nuts when you arrage the pineapples and cherries before baking if you want.
It usually comes out yummy, even if it looks a little messed up. But MAKE SURE YOU LET IT COOL LONG ENOUGH before flipping it!

Does anyone know any good dessert recipes with mangos?
I need something that would last a few days and can handle the shipping process.
I plan on baking a dessert for someone, and they absolutely love mangos!
But I've never cooked with them before ^.^;
So, any suggestions would be nice :)

Anybody know a recipe for hot braised chicken? The kind you can buy at a Chinese restaurant. I keep trying to search for it online but I keep finding recipes for chicken thighs and other types of dishes. Thanks in advance for any help! [:

I am trying to come up with the best recipe for Korean Fried Chicken. I still have a lot of things to try but this one is very good.

I used a basic Korean Frying mix with some curry powder. The simple sauce is soy sauce, Korean rice syrup, ginger juice and Korean pepper.

Wings get rinsed in cold water then salt, black pepper and garlic salt.

Mix 1 cup Korean Frying mix with tablespoon curry powder (I used S&B), black pepper and garlic powder.

Coat wings with flour mixture.

For first frying fry @ 325 just until they start to change color.

Fry again @ 375 until golden brown.

During second frying make sauce. Heat 4 tablespoons of soy sauce, 4 tablespoons rice syrup, 1 tablespoon ginger juice and 2 tablespoons chili pepper. When it starts to boil add wings and coat.

Sprinkle with sesame seeds.

You can watch me cook them here.

Made fajitas and just winged it on the marinade:
1-1.4 pound of flank steak
1 tblsp of sea salt and fresh cracked pepper
1/4 cup of olive oil.
2 tsp cumin
2 tsp cayenne
4 cloves of garlic
2 limes
1 jalepeno pepper
cilantro
let it marinade for about 30 min to an hour

2 onions
1 green bell pepper
1 red bellpepper
1 yellow bell pepper

use the marinade liquid to cook the veg in

tortillas, I prefer flour because it tastes better

I used my electric griddle for this and it turned out pretty good, but if you have an outdoor grill, use that. Cook til about medium, which is about 6 min on each side.

If using more meat, just double up on the recipe
