Do rooms usually have only one closet that you and your roommate share?

Umm, that usually depends..I guess you'll just have to learn how to share? College is about sharing, also.

This is my dorm and I think I'm quite fine by it..

that's not the kind of attitude to have going into college, be happy and things will work out. Don't sour up your relationship with your roomate, ugh, girls are so difficult sometimes.

I thought it was normal just to have one closet? lol

If it really is too too small for you two, you can buy one of those extra rods
you sort of hang it off the existing rod and bam! more hanging space!
Those cubby hangers for shoes or shirts can be really useful too

Well you get a dresser too, right? I had 2 roommates freshmen year in a tinnnnnny room, and there were 2 "closets" (no door). I just kept the majority of my clothes in my dresser and hung the rest of my clothes on my bed frame (I had a loft bed). You just have to make do with what you have. Just don't overpack though, you really don't need as much stuff as you think you do.

Yikes! Now that i think about it, my dorm also has 1 closet per 2 persons crazy.gif. Sharing a closet with my bro is tough, but with a stranger blink.gif? Anyways, i guess we'll have to live with it sweatingbullets.gif .

Here's the floorplan for my dorm. I'm going to UC Irvine and this is the floorplan for the Campus Village housing.

Well, it's not really a dorm. More of an apartment because there's only gonna be 4 people including me blush.gif .

I don't mind sharing at all. I just thought we'd get our own closets, so we could fit more of our stuff into in the room.
I guess just dont mix each other clothes up. x)

I thought it was normal to have one closet per person... But yeah, it shouldn't be too troublesome, unless your roommate has a habit of mussing up your clothes? But I don't think that's likely.

In UCSD they have a closet per person even if that means squeezing in a wardrobe or two into a triple.
