yes the ladies at kim sun young are older.. but they are all dolled up just to cut hair.. lolz
But they're not THAT bad. Here in Brisbane the girls here look like models. I'm in love with 3 of them! lol

you must be a nerdy Asian who spends time in the library right? and you only hand out with Asian ppl right?

Try hanging out with white folks and hitting the clubs and bars on the weekends with white folks and you will know what I mean about one nighters and casual stuff.

And majority of uni students (white ppl in general) are broke bums... but NOT the international Asian student.. they roll in Japanese turbos and Mercs and eat yumcha for lunch. Again you need to be more open minded and hang out with more ppl smile.gif

why do you assume that i'm a "nerdy asian who spends time in the library"? Yes i do study at university, i'd be wasting my time there if i didnt. But i balance my social life well and frequent the bars and clubs here and there.

and Yes i do have white friends, so i'm already "open minded" as you say. i was born here and white friends are part of my social circle whether they were from school, work, or university. I dont think its fair that you're generalising white people to be broke bums who's goal is to get laid every weekend, because thats definately not how i see things. Also not all international students roll around in cash, i know quite a few who struggle with work and uni because of how much uni fees are.

Maybe in the context of your friends that you hang with thats the case, but dont generalise everyone to be like that.

I have 2 blog posts dedicated to the big questions about teaching English in Korea, so you can check there (link in my sig). Overall...it really depends on your school. Some schools are fantastic and give their foreign teacher anything, others (specifically hagwons) are crap and don't really listen to the foreigner's complaints. Overall, foreigners are treated VERY WELL in Seoul (many bars/clubs have free entrance/drinks for foreigners--Koreans have to pay $15 cover charges, etc). Foreigners here may complain, but honestly...it's because the majority are white people from the US who aren't used to being a minority. Things that many Asians are used to dealing with (stares, mocking of accents, etc) are new to many white foreigners here, so they don't really know how to react and just assume that Koreans are all racist.

typical University student in Australia are brok @ss bums who wear the same jeans and t shirt and hoodie and dirty chucks day in and day out and eat sandwiches with one piece of cheese cause they're so broke.. lmao! No one cares about fashion at school here in Australia.

I got my haircut once and the Korean girl squirmed at my hair and asked me why it was burned. Another one said I'm fat............ and if I was a little skinnier I would be soooo good looking! lmfao wtf?!?!?!

Haha, it's Brisbane they are way behind in fashion compared to the other parts of Australia. If you go to the other universities, Bond university for example, you have ballers everywhere. They're actually renting at my townhouse and have very deep pockets.

Those Korean hairdressers must be doing something right eh? wink.gif

it's a good shot with no facial expression, b/c most of the time pictures taken without emotion the subject turns out to look more angry.

Me too, I don't have the finesse for golf. I wanted to throw the ball up and see if I could bat it out of the sky...

I have no finesse either. The last time out, the two best balls I hit all day were when I accidentally stepped on a rake. Who the hell leaves a rake out on a miniature golf course?

hahahaha! I remember the first time I heard that it was worded:

"Yeah, I hit two beautiful balls... I stepped on a rake."

... two beautiful balls? are any balls beautiful? I don't think so, maybe I don't have an eye for that type of thing though

^Hey, hey, hey.... keep it on the down lo, kids may be reading this! just kidding. laugh.gif

So you guys have a spark for golf too, huh?
Stan told me to try my luck at the pitch & putt first so that's where we went.... horrible is all I can say. >0< If Mr. Woods was there, his eyeballs would be rolled right out of its sockets. My golf balls kept rolling down to the first floor, when it's supposed to be out on the FIELD.......................and I could only hit it out to first flag. Sad, huh. =_= Also, I kept on using Death Grip.... which messed up my hand after a while.. do you use gloves?

Anyways..I think we should move this golf chat somewhere else before the police catch us >.<

Dude. . . I am one of those nerdy Asian guys and yes I only hang out with Asian people, but you are sooo far from right about not hitting up the clubs and bars. Yes I talk about computers and other I.T related stuff with my pals, but I also slam down shots of tequlia and soju as I talk about building the most awesome computer system ever! Asian people know how to have a good time too man~
