i have never heard of real estate being a major in particular
to get a real estate license you just need to take the classes for real estate (there are specific classes i believe...like real estate [insert number here] or whatever...you have to check if your college offers it)
and then you go take the test
kind of like taking a motorcycle lesson or something i suppose. you take the classes for it, then go get the license.
i have friends who are in college and have real estate licenses...they just do it on the side

although I attend an American uni, I don't know much about how to become a real estate agent in the U.S. However, I know that here in Korea basically all the real estate agents are young females or males who do not necessarily have any college degree but have attended programs (hakwon-like schools) and are certified. I believe it's more of a certification than a degree. Real estate agents don't make the big bucks, the people who buy property and rent it out or sell high do.

this link contains a very detailed factsheet about real estate agents and the occupational outlook of the field smile.gif!

yea to be a real estate agent you don't even need a college degree... people can be fresh out of high school and become agents, you just need to take some background classes and get certified... and be a good people person, charismatic and possess good sales skills.
