What a disappointing fight. The Neko Jinchuuriki was defeated so fast. She didn't even last one chapter. Naruto showed more power than this thing in one page.These new Akatsuki are pretty damn strong. Their next target is Naruto.

^Hopefully, the anime will add some flavor for that fight. I guess, Kishi wanted to keep their moves a secret until Naruto and co. actually encounters them.

Given that the anime ever gets there. It seems that won't be the case if these fillers continue...

Akatsuki are far from regular people. If you haven't noticed, there is not one Akatsuki who is normal.
Kisame - Has Chakra so large that it amazes even the leader of Akatsuki
Itachi - Has Mangekyou Sharingan and a twisted mindset
Sasori - Has a puppet body
Deidara - has mouths on his hands and odd explosives
Zetsu - has some weird venus fly trap thing on his head and half of his body is black and the other is white
Hidan - Has some weird Scythe, is religous, and performs brutal ceremonies on himself
Kakuzu - Has some weird eyes, and something that appears to be like superhuman strength
Orochimaru (former Akatsuki) - Pale skin, snake-like, crazy

naruto is hecka funny and interesting.
the best song you can here from naruto (and it's in english) is

I think it's because she had to fight two Akatsuki at once, heck, Garaa lost to one Akatsuki (well, he had a reason, but oh well) I also think this fight was mainly to spice up the tension with their next target.

yeah but still if a hokage has trouble beating a ex akatsuki then... er?

^well, you have to remember that sandaime old. if he was younger and in his prime, orochimaru wouldve been no problem for him.

Just because you're a Kage doesn't mean you're capable of defeating everyone. 4th Kazekage and the 3rd Hokage were defeated by Orochimaru. The 3rd Kazkage, the strongest Kazekage was defeated by Sasori and was turned into a puppet.
