I'm pretty sure there have been threads like these like 3-4 months ago but I'd like to ask some of my own curious questions biggrin.gif

+ Do you add in jogging/running the mile with other excerises to loose weight?
----If yes...
----+ what time of the day do you jog/run?
----+ how long do you jog/run and how many times a week?
----+ when do you see results? after one week? two weeks? a month?

Thank you for taking your time to answer. This will help me determine my new exercise routine because I heard running helps burn more fat.

Usually later in the afternoon , 5pm ish.

Around 4-5 times a week , I run around a 5 and a half mile lake or so and it takes me around 30 minutes (cross country runner).

You can start feeling results in the first week , seeing them probably in the next two weeks .
If you don't have the right diet though you probably wont see much change at all .

Losing weight is mostly in the diet .

+ Do you add in jogging/running the mile with other excerises to loose weight? Yes.
----If yes...
----+ what time of the day do you jog/run? During summer, I've been running in the mornings before the sun gets out. If I don't wake up early enough, I use the treadmill. During school days, usually an hour or so after dinner. Around 7:00pm
----+ how long do you jog/run and how many times a week? If it's outside, I run for an hour (30 minutes to the marketplace, and 30 minutes back). On the treadmill, I get lazy and only run for 30 minutes. I usually run everday except for days I have extracurricular activities.
----+ when do you see results? after one week? two weeks? a month? About a week. Well, you can just see the changes in your legs, stomach, and arms gradually every day.

Oh and some advice, after you run, you usually get tired and hungry - but eat lightly after running. Some fruits or vegetables. Grapes work for me. :] And remember to STRETCH before AND after running! And after running, walk around a little bit to calm your heart.

Hope that helps! Happy exercising. biggrin.gif

+ what time of the day do you jog/run? Use to be afternoon-ish, not morning.
+ how long do you jog/run and how many times a week? However many times my PE teacher makes me.
+ when do you see results? after one week? two weeks? a month? I didn't see anything change -0-

Situps, curl ups, push ups, planks, pull ups?
Jump rope!

----+ what time of the day do you jog/run? late afternoon when the sun starts to go down. perfect temperature for me. the air is cooler, but the warm sun is still there
----+ how long do you jog/run and how many times a week? i'm outside for 45 minutes to an hour, but i'm running for about 30-40 minutes. Everyday
----+ when do you see results? after one week? two weeks? a month? The first week is KILLER. Sore muscles EVERYWHERE. But after that running is easy peasy.

So within that 45-1hr, I...
water, stretch, warm up kicks/jog, actual jog, cool down (slow jogging gradually to a walk), water, stretch, water.

5 and 1/2 miles = 30 minutes? mellow.gif
I'm a cross country runner too.
Are you sure? That means each mile is less than 6 minutes and you can keep that up for 5 miles.
You must be really fast.

I run everyday except sundays.
Each time I run its about 5/6 miles. That takes me from 40-50 minutes depends on how fast I go.

I've actually tried a few months ago, back when school started.
I would jog around the block for 10-15 min... then come back and shower and get ready for school.
However... I quit because I couldn't do it anymore...
I'd come to school and couldn't even open my eyes haha.

i only run a mile.. so it's pretty quick since i do it in 8 minutes.
just before school i go out and run a mile. smile.gif
it's usually around 6 or 7 am..
i come back and get ready for school, pack everything.
then i go and eat breakfast and run after the bus.
i'm not sure if i lost any weight.. so i guess it depends on the person doing it.
i do it 3-5 times a week or whenever i feel like it. running a mile in the morning wakes me up and i feel more energetic during the day.

I run about four times a week. When I run, I only run that day as a form of exercise besides walking obviously. Running takes a lot of you when you're focused on it, builds up metabolism, increases leg muscles, and loses fat all around really. I do it to stay fit really.

I run five miles M/W/F/Sun around 6 pm to 7 pm. It varies upon my schedule since sometimes I'm like arguing with my body and brain whether or not I want to run, which takes about fifteen minutes. It takes me about forty minutes to run.

I don't really notice any results or changes. My leg muscles are stronger, but I haven't noticed the calves muscles slimming down. I've only started this three months ago. We'll see I guess. I'm more hungry if anything. I eat tons more now.

- I run at night, since that's when the gym isn't packed and the machines are all open.
- I run/jog for 45 minutes to an hour, 5-6 times a week.
- I saw and felt the results within 1-2 weeks.

+ Make sure you also get in some weight training to help burn the fat off and watch what you eat smile.gif

i jog for an hour every morning from seven to eight.
i've definitely developed more leg muscles, gotten slimmer, and dropped down one pants size biggrin.gif
and i've only been doing this for about two and half weeks. but i've also stopped stuffing myself with junk food.

I'm on the Cross Country team so this might affect what I type.
----+ what time of the day do you jog/run? I got to school at 6:15am. We probably don't start running until like 6:40am ish? Because that includes warming up, stretching, and laggers. <<
----+ how long do you jog/run and how many times a week? It depends...on Mondays & Wednesdays I probably run 5-8miles. Tuesday and Wednesdays I run about 20-25 minutes. And Fridays..it varies. I run about 6 times a week because of varsity practice.
----+ when do you see results? after one week? two weeks? a month? I don't know. When I first joined Track, I didn't pay attention to how I looked and stuff. But I guess I lost weight over the past 2/3 years. Because when I first joined I was 5'4" and 114lbs. I remained that weight for quite awhile until recently. Now I'm 5'5" and 115lbs. And of course muscle weighs more than fat and I'm pretty sure I gained muscle because of weight training.

I've been running since the end of junior high , yeah I can do it .
I keep a steady pace with longer strides and save up some energy for a big sprint at the end .

Without flexibility from stretching everyday I don't think i'd be able to get the times I do . I save a lot more energy since I don't need to take short strides.

Oh and I don't run that much everyday , I do interval training . Alternate my routine around .

----+ what time of the day do you jog/run? 6:30am / on average i run 3~4 miles...
----+ how long do you jog/run and how many times a week? 5 times a week
----+ when do you see results? after one week? two weeks? a month? i dont really run to lose weight(i eat too much junkfood) but if u cut down on ur calories and start jogging/power walking at least 2miles, 4~5 times a week you should notice the difference in about 2 weeks.

well you see results after one week since the training is a little hard for people not use to running so much
