thats when the mentality part comes in. the players can take it 2 ways: we're not gonna make it or we're still very much in it. if they believe in themselves, it shouldnt affect their confidence much despite they will still be upset about how kobe and others from lakers made those clutch shots and plays.
that was a great game though, i cant believe it ended that way. anyways, back to studying for finals while watching sac beat spurs =P i hate how these playoff games come around finals week sleep.gif

well of course every player in that locker room will have a mindset of not giving up. You make it sound too easy, being able to believe in yourselves is not that simple. After losing three straight games and witnessing a game you should have won, that really brings you down and rips apart your confidence. I know for sure that every Suns player has their heads down right now.

kobe and the lakers must now finish the suns off.

the lakers have always been the most exciting team to watch on tv. there were so many upset victories, i lost count.

Phoenix is in trouble although I think and hope they can do something that was similar to what Detroit did to Orlando when they were down 3-1. Heartbreaking Game 4 but its still possible.

well of course that sounds easy. and not many ppl can do it, im just saying that a true competitor wont ever have his head down.

Let's just say this. As a Clippers fan, I would much rather face the Lakers than the Suns anyday. Cassell can not move up and down with Nash and we had the Lakers' number all season. And don't you think the Clippers will be motivated to finally be recognized as the best team in Los Angeles? I think so. However, anything can happen in the playoffs and the good thing about this is that in the end of the 2nd round, 1 team from L.A. will make the Western Conference Finals, something that NO NBA expert predicted.

i have a feelings lakers might lose game 5. cuz all of us lakers fan now assume lakers will win the series and same with the clippers and their fans.

but if both prevail, it's going to be a really good series. it's not even a freeway series because its in the same building so i have no clue what to call it.

frankie muniz and billy crystal are clipper fans and for the lakers there are too many celebrities to count. for all i know its going to be a celebrity fest at staples center.

god dam, finally you say something right!!!
umm yeah. the odds are kind of against them by 97%. cuz 97% of the teams who were up 3-1 had won the series.

uhm yeah, hence when i said small chance.

Bucks were able to beat Pistons last night, Bulls and Kings went from 2-0 in their series respectively and now they've tied it. So what's there to say about miracles? Quite a bit.

I'm not saying Lakers don't have any chances, I wouldn't be surprised if they won the next game. I'm just saying it's not over yet.

yeah but Phil Jackson won't let the Lakers get too overconfident, he'll still tell his players to work hard in Game 5 and just finish it off there.

exactly. i dont think he's forgotten what happened when the lakers allowed minnesota to force game 6 in the western conference finals a few years ago... karl malone got hurt in that game 6 i think...

do the people who work at the staples center repaint the court every time one of them plays at home and then the other comes?
