haha, if i was dirk, i'd be pretty pissed too... mellow.gif

best part about that clip is that it says "happy father's day!" right after Dirk kicks the chair.

So how about Mark Cuban being fined $250,000 for his comments after game 5?

Just WHAT did he say exactly?! blink.gif

Miami won. Too much for Mark Cuban saying that the championship is in the bag after they won Games 1 & 2.

Here's an article from Yahoo! Sports: Buy a clue, Cuban

As for Cuban being fined, it's his actions that got him the $250,000 fine.

Here's an article from Yahoo! Sports: Cuban fined $250K for Game 5 outbursts

GJ to the Heat for winning it, Dwayne Wade was the man, he earned the MVP definitely for the way he played throughout the series. I was pretty neutral in this NBA Finals, although I leaned more towards the Heat because then they could still prove that the East could take on the West evenly.

Raptors Acquire Rasho Nesterovic In Exchange for
Matt Bonner, Eric Williams & a Future Second Round Pick

I'm mad. Matt Bonner was a favorite in Toronto and now he's gone to the Spurs where he's gonna get close to no playing time =[

I'm amazed that the Heat won four straight games in a row.

Seriously, ever since I've laid eyes on Wade, he has become one of my favorite players in the NBA.

What a sigh of relief!

The Miami Heat WIN!!! The Heat that I've stuck with since 1995 ... with so many heart breaks. I remember the shot from Allan Houston(Knicks) that just killed the franchise. The blowout Conference Finals loss to the Bulls(who won 72 games in the season). With Alonzo Mourning diagnosed with the kidney ailment. Even from being moments away from the Finals last year, only to end the season with the Pistons celebrating on our home floor. Now, this year .... with the whole world doubting us ... saying it was over against the Bulls ... then the Nets after the blowout game 1 loss ...

FINALLY!!!!!!! JOY!!!!!!!!!! 12 YEARS OF WATCHING THE HEAT!!!!!!! and this moment feels GREATTTTTTT!!!!!!!!

Wade got third place for most consecutive 35+ points in a finals series. Pretty damn impressive there.

Thoguh, as much as everyone else is being mentioned, I'll add that i'm damn happy for SHAQ as well. Everyone that said he'd never get another ring without Kobe has to shut up now.

Don't forget about Antoine Walker, James Posey, and Jason Williams plus some other guys. A well deserved championship by the Heat. Dwyane Wade is truely outstanding.

Riley is NOT the reason why Miami won this year. Did everybody forget 2003? Wade's first year? Van Gundy coached the trio of Wade, Odom, and Butler into the NBA playoffs. In fact, last year, the Heat were at the brink of making to the finals had it not been for injuries to Shaq and Wade. And 20 something games into this season, Riley gave Van Gundy the ax.
Don't get me wrong on this. Riley remains one of the best, if not THE best, motivators in the L today. Maybe that's why he can get guys like Magic and Jabbar to gel, guys like payton, walker, and williams to buy into his system. But as far as X's and O's go, sorry, Riley isn't your man. In fact, there were times in the series where Avery Johnson was straight up outcoaching Riley. Think about this, Shaq, in the last 4 games of the Dallas series, averaged 15 points 12 boards, and averaged just 10 shots per game. In games 3 and 5, he went to the line just a total of 5 times. He just wasn't involved in the offense enough. Riley's response? Move him to the other block. That's it. When that wasn't working, he sent Shaq up and around the perimter, setting picks to "open up things" down low. But 15 and 12 per doesn't sound like Shaq, and it isn't Shaq.
And let's not forget one important thing. What was Rile's record before Van Gundy took over? 36-46. The next season, Van Gundy took the Heat to the playoffs.

out of all the people who found winning this year's championship sweet, i feel that Zo would find this the sweetest of all.

Knicks fire Brown as coach, make Thomas his replacement
Knicks fire Brown as coach, make Thomas his replacement

NEW YORK (AP) -- Larry Brown was fired by the New York Knicks on Thursday and replaced as coach by president and general manager Isiah Thomas.

In Brown's one season in New York, the Knicks stumbled to a 23-59 record -- second worst in the NBA and matching the most losses in club history.

Brown endured a miserable season with the Knicks, squabbling with star guard Stephon Marbury and other players and missing three games in April because of illness. He had only one worse season as a coach, when he went 21-61 with the San Antonio Spurs in 1988-89.

His coaching status had been in limbo for months, and reports surfaced in May that owner James Dolan was looking to buy out Brown's contract. It was at about that time that Brown called himself a "dead man walking" because of the uncertainty.

The Hall of Fame coach signed a five-year deal with the Knicks before last season worth a reported $50 million.

Brown, a Brooklyn native, described his hiring last year as a "dream job," and the Knicks hoped his homecoming would lead to a long-awaited return to the playoffs. But despite a league-high payroll of more than $120 million, New York struggled throughout the season.

"No one in our organization is happy with last season and we all accept responsibility for our performance," Thomas said in a statement released by the Knicks. "This has been a difficult time for the entire organization and our fans.

"Larry Brown is a great coach, but for various reasons, bringing him to the Knicks did not turn out the way we had hoped and we wish him the best in the future."

Thomas joined the Knicks as president and GM in December 2003. He was coach of the Indiana Pacers for three seasons through 2002-03, compiling a 131-115 record.

Brown coached the Detroit Pistons to the NBA title in the 2003-04 season. He missed 17 games the following year with the Pistons because of hip replacement surgery. That led to a bladder problem that required surgery in November. He had offseason surgery to address the problem.

"Larry has had a long and storied career. We hired him last summer with the expectation that he would be with the Knicks for a long time," Dolan said. "Sometimes decisions work and sometimes they don't."

nailed it right on the dot. in fact, riley took out shaq in crunchtime cuz zo works better in a drive and dish offense, which is what the heat became in the 4th quarter, and is more of a defensive presence.
