just a half-bust? lol
i wonder if radmonivic will even start for the lakers. hed better not end up like jim jackson or aaron mckie and play just trash minutes

well, according to the reports, radmonovic was promised a starting spot. plus the only person he has to compete with for the 4 spot is luke walton and brian cook, and brian cook is the same thing as radmonovic, so luke walton is his only real competition. now, i personally prefer luke walton, but radmonovic does extend the defense, opening up lanes for kobe, so we'll see

but any good basketball player has to have a certain amount of pride within his own game. he's gotta believe that he's the best player on the basketball court in order to influence the game the way he does. you think magic didn't think he was the best? waht about jordan? bird? when there's 5 seconds left in the game, the superstar knows he's putting the ball in the basket. He has a certain level of confidence in his game, some more than others, but it exists in every player.

i was thinking maybe odom at the 4 and walton at 3 and radmonivic off the bench

oh no! odom has cemented his spot at the 3. plus walton can't guard the 3. well, he can't guard teh 4 either, but he's less of a liability at the 4 than at the 3.

Me too. Not a Kobe fan either. I'm not fond of his attitude.

i did. it was a worthless game. chinese players laked the aggresivness to play with the nba players. the pg couldn't dribble the ball down court with the 1 on 1 pressure, so a center had to bring it down, i was, on the whole, disappointed by the chinese effort. loose balls were lost, 50-50 rebounds were always rebounded by the more aggressive american team. i was hoping to see something from nba prospect yi jinlian, but that was also a bust.

as for them winning every game by 30 points, thats not going to happen. they should win every game, but its going to be a battle for some games like brazil and argentina and yugo. the talent level across teh board has gotten better, and so we won't do what we did in '92, its just not possible anymore. the game vs. argentina will be a good test for them, esp since carmelo(avg about 16 points) is gone. i'm not really worried, because it's not like this team really needs the offense. if you saw the game vs. brazil, you notice a couple things, mainly the fact that barbosa and the other guards on the brazilian team were able to penetrate so easily inside. i know these guys are really really quick, but somebody has to stop that. i also can't wait for bowen vs ginobili. according to reports, these guys go at it during spurs practice, and its so fun to watch, and maybe we'll get a chance to see it in real life.

they had to get a center to dribble down the court? wow, thats crazy.

I read chinese team also lacked Yao Ming cause of injury, which is deep considering he's the only one with all-star calibre NBA experience. Still, I think the odds were overwhelming against the chinese team. Not quite up there in athleticism.

^ that's exactly what i saw. no effort on the chinese team to do anything.

brazil and their zone killed the us in the 2nd half. the us committee kept saying that they wanted shooters, and now their shooter(carmelo) is out. lets see what happens.

i always wondered why they took kirk hinrich over shooters like michael redd
redd could be more valuable to this team than hinrich i think
redd wasnt even invited right

I believe redd was invited, but couldn't make it.

Just checked he's on the roster of 24, but didn't go to asia with the team, and he wasn't a cut, so we'll see.

i think hinrich was added because the loss of billups. they needed another pure point guard, and luke ridnour is not an option.
