That'd be cool to see a Gordan/Durant combo with Wallace in the front court ....

Oden's going to retire after 5 years anyway ... old enough too. tongue.gif jkjkjk ...

Anyway ... hear about Arenas? Out 2-3 months because of knee surgery.

w00t! the bulls are now the number 2 seed and the cavaliers are 5th. now the bulls better hold onto that until the playoffs start.

Sources: Durant will go pro

Jeff Goodman / FOXSports.com
Posted: 1 hour ago

Kevin Durant has all the major college hoops awards, now the only question is whether he'll enter the NBA Draft.

According to the Dallas Morning News the answer is yes.

The DMN, citing unnamed sources with the team, says the 19-year-old Durant has made up his mind and could make it official as soon as today.

It's thought Durant would go either first or second in the draft and could command a tens of millions in endorsements right off the bat.

Durant averaged 25.8 points and 11.1 rebounds in his only season at Texas, ranking fourth nationally in both categories.

Durant's parents were not available for comment and his coach, Rick Barnes, said he hadn't been informed either way.

Oo~ .... Interesting ... I wonder if the sources are right.

the lakers are really starting to frustrate me.

they really need to make some changes in the off season or work on their DEFENSE! they fall apart with the opponents pick and roll play every single time!

The Lakers should totally re-do Kobe's contract so they can stay under the salary cap in order to sign a marquee player. How fun, yet unlikely would that be.

But right, they need some guards who can actually fight through screens so the big men don't get outran by quicker guards all the time.

Even if dey do get those picks, which dey wont, fat chance dey would take Durant, wut r dey gon do wit Nocioni, Duhon, and Thomas, dey will probably jus trade down. Durant is heading to Boston, he be great playing next to Pierce.

yea I understand that they have a good F combination (though I dunno why you said duhon seeing he is a Guard o_o;) but you cant past on somone that good if they Do get the number 1 or 2 pick. It is indeed a long shot for them to get the pick but if they do get it i'd prefer the bulls getting durant as they really dont have a Leader in that team (Wallace and gordan in my eyes arent really a leader on the team like Kobe is to the lakers or how Dwight howard is to the Magics etc etc)

^ dwight howard is not the leader of the magic. its actually grant hill who's the most vocal member of that team.

and how many rookies do you know that come out and take over a team? the only one i can really remember that took over is lebron. and ben wallace, pj and captain kirk are the leaders of that team. leaders aren't just what they do on the basketball court. They only 2.5hours playing other teams. 95% of their time is spent behind closed doors working out and practicing.

I really dont think the bulls would get Oden since they just gave wallace that big contract =/, though I would have loved to see oden on the bulls I just dont see that working out. if they did get the number 1 pick I could see them getting durant which would make a good gorden/durant combo. hopfully maybe they can get like top 5 ish and score cory brewer (if he comes out).

I disagree. Durant would be in a crowded back court. If the bulls had the chance (with the knicks on this loosing streak), to land Oden, i think that would be the best thing for the bulls. Yes, the bulls have ben wallace, but how many good years does he have left? In addition, Ben is a defensive player. You give up so much on the offensive end when big ben plays. There is no problem with both of them playing in the same front court. What's wrong with being mentored by one of the best defensive centers in NBA history? If not, I think most people agree that Hibbert is high on the Bulls list of draftees.

Ok I kinda Disagree on Grant hill being the leader on the team ( my reasons being someone who is in and out of surgery's really cant lead a team on the court. I know he doesn't need to be on the court to be a leader but its just a personal opinion) but I think we all can agree that Dwight Howard is the Franchise player of the magics right?

and I think PJ is a good role model for the younger players on the bulls. but not a leader, he is gonna be either retiring/being picked up by another team anyways at the end of the season cause I dont see the bulls resigning him.

I for one would love to get Oden for the bulls IF they got number one (cause if he does enter the draft I only see him being number one) but you pay someone 60 million to be your starting Center. you want them to be your only starting center, and not share minutes with someone else or to tutor someone. If your gonna draft a Oden he is the type of player that would want (and deserves) to be your only center and not split playing time with someone.

but yea Hibbert would probably be the best bet if the bulls get like top 5.

I don't see a problem if the Bulls draft Durant OR Oden.

We know the Bulls have a problem with their big men offensively, if they landed Oden, Big Ben could shift down to power forward while Oden took the center spot.

If they took Durant, that's fine also. Andres Nocioni, P.J. Brown, and Mike Sweetney are all free agents by this summer, and I doubt they'll keep Brown unless he's willing to stay really really cheap and take on a bench-veteran role permanently. I doubt they'll keep Nocioni, and Sweetney's garbage.

IMO. Grant Hill is the leader of the team. He's the veteran and has been around the league for a long time. I think players like Dwight Howard and Jameer Nelson listen to Grant Hill more than they lead.
