for all those people that said kobe ran shaq out the team... rolleyes.gif
and there are MANY in this thread alone.

heck yes.

all i can say is that if kobe is gone, staples center will lose a lot of money. there are a lot, and i mean a lot of laker season ticket holders that are mad at the current laker situation right now after listening to KLAC AM 570. jerry buss and mitch kupchack made a terrible mistake.

thank goodness, kobe still wants to be a laker right now after talking with phil.

true thats why hez not going to win another championship unless he changes his thinking. look that the pistions. there doing soo freaking good even though i hate them because no body on that team thinks there better then each other or the star of the team unlike kobe. kobe was and will be a person who thinks he is the star of the team. thats why the lakers fell apart not because they got beat by detroit but because kobe alwayz wanted to be the star of the team.

really?
if i remember correctly, it was gary payton who bailed out on the lakers against the pistons. did you even watch that series?

it's funny because people still come with these accusations putting kobe on blast, when the truth is all over the media.
kobe never asked the lakers to give shaq the boot.
jerry buss felt like it would be better to trade off shaq while he still had huge value. they did a great job screwing that up. after the shaq trade, the lakers have kwame brown and a hobbly and passive lamar odom to show for it. then the lakers organization tried to throw the blame onto kobe. dry.gif
kobe knows he can't do it himself. he's mentioned how the lakers passed on the likes of baron davis, jason kidd and ron artest. the lakers dug deep into their pockets in signing vlad and re-signing brian cook. he's also mentioned how the lakers told pj that they would be committed to a long term of reducing payroll and rebuilding. which is why pj was gone for one season.

it's still not set in stone whether or not kobe is going to be traded. after this whole ordeal, i hope the lakers front office and kobe kiss and make-up and focus on one thing: winning championships.

^it's a known fact that shaq and kobe didn't exactly get along. doesn't mean that they don't have respect for each other. they won three rings together in a row after all.

no, i know that, im just saying i didnt think shaq would help kobe refute the story of 'kobe booted out shaq'

i think LA should just get rid of kobe. i bet kobe's too scared to go anywhere else and thats why he changed his mind about leaving. only in LA could he act like an ass and still get away with being the star. anywhere else wouldn't let him play like that.

how does he act like an ass?
by busting his ass while his teammates play half-assed? by taking too many shots?
explain.

^ maybe calling him an ass was going too far, but no one would treat him as well as LA and the lakers would.

well true that. people said kobe ran out shaq but shaq came out to say that kobe did not run him out. the lakers ran him out because of his age and he wuz asking way to much money. well i heard shaq and kobe and alot of going on but like people said they were one hell of a team. thats why they won 3 championships together. well from wut i hear is that the lakers are not looking for a all star. they are look for someone to build the team around. i heard this from espn radio. kobe is raising mad H3ll because the lakers organization said that they didnt want a all star they wanted a very young player to build there team upon. for example i heard the lakers even said that kobe might be traded because of his age. he is now like 25 or 26 and probably play in the nba for another 6 or 7 years but they want a player who can play for the lakers for like 10 + in the future. i really think the kobe trade is stupid. i agree with the people here why would you trade a great player in the nba who has gone out of his way to win a championship. even though i dont really like kobe i give him all the props in the world for wut he is doing for the team.

ne wayz well i guess we have to see wut happens after the draft and the off season

not really thats why gary payton got put to the bench. phil knew wut his was doing did u see gary after game 2 in the series. not really he only came in to get people out of foul trouble. i never said kobe booted out shaq im saying kobe even told shaq that he was the star of the team. (shaq said this on a 1 on 1 interview when the team fell apart and wen shaq first came to the heats. i remember this with this and never will forget it wen shaq said it wasnt kobe who made me come but his thinking and the lakers organization thinging that kobe was the star of the team.

i dont think much of that matters..the past is the past..
the big question that comes to my mind is will the lakers possibly be able to assemble and contending team through the draft and free agency this year? or else kobe might really be out of his way or seriously upset.

i dont know any of the big free agents coming up, but if kobe stays in la, i think that he's only going to get further frustrated.
Too lazy to make another sig. Ill get to it..maybe.

this years free agency list is huge, but i can't really see the lakers FO making a push for any of them.
rashard lewis, chauncey billups, vince carter, mo williams, steve blake just to name a few who would definitely help. but screw free agency, i want them to trade and trade now. i still can't believe the lakers actually passed on jason kidd.

we need jerry west back. he was the genius who brought us kobe in the first place. looking at the trade history of mitch cupcake, it's no wonder kobe doesn't trust any of them to make the right moves.

^ well, the lakers don't have the money to go after those guys. the only way the lakers can sign free agents is with the mid level exception, and i know they already spent most of that on vlad rad last year. so really, the only way to make a significant move is to trade.

i wonder if anybody would take kwame and smush in a sign and trade? isiah, are you there?

you get a new mid-level exception every year, so despite LA wasting money on vlad last year they have a fresh new $5.5million per than they can hand out again this year. of course this wont land the lewises and the billups... maybe the blakes and bells and maagloires...

i hear that LA FO is going into overdrive restarting trade conversations about o'neal and artest
apparently indy likes LO+bynum+19th+filler for JO and Tinsley, but no official proposals yet. they might have to wait till july so that they can a) possibly get jerry west to pull a trade and cool.gif to include mckie in a sign and trade deal for salary cap purposes

Facts, please? Kobe's a ticket seller. You can bet that he'll be treated just as well if he were in another city. Kobe is the personified form of entertainment. He's the type of players that fans pay to watch. That's the only proven fact I see.

Hah. Dumb trade. The Lakers shouldn't give up Odom, Bynum, 19th pick, and a filler for just O'Neal (who's really not that great) and a troubled Tinsley. That would equate to another Kwame Brown trade in my opinion. If anything, I believe the Bynum/Kidd trade is still up in the air. A lot of other possible deals will surface later.

did not know that. thanks!

bill simmons of espn worked out a monster 5 team trade. what do you guys think? the only holdup i see is indiana

Celtics get: Seattle's No. 2 pick, Vlad Radmanovic, Kwame Brown, Maurice Evans, Chicago's No. 9 pick
Lakers get: Ray Allen, Jermaine O'Neal, Paul Pierce, Jamaal Tinsley, Ryan Gomes
Seattle gets: Ben Gordon, Andres Nocioni (sign and trade starting at $6.2 million), Andrew Bynum, Ty Thomas, Adrian Griffin, Boston's No. 5 pick, L.A.'s No. 19 pick
Indiana gets: Lamar Odom, Nick Collison, Victor Khryapa, Earl Watson, Boston's No. 32 pick
Chicago gets: Kobe, Tony Allen

That's pretty ridiculous. But it works, don't you think?

Yeah... in the Lakers' favor. Indiana gets even worse.
