well you have to see it from both sides. i mean kobe has to score at least 40 + to win most of the games. that is one big reason he is criticized. for example they showed a stat on espn that stated when kobe scores more the 30+ they were 22-10 when he scored more then 40+ they were 12-3 then when he scored more then 50 + they were 8-1. then when kobe scored less then 30 points they were 11-15. well its true kobe has to score a ton of points for his club barely to win. it was like allen iverson when he was at philly he had to score a ton of points for his ball club to win. this is one reason why they criticize kobe soo much or bash on him because they see a stat where kobe score more then 30+ and barely win. like i said i give kobe all the props in the world for trying soo hard but i still believe kobe should pump some confidence in other players. i mean relay on them like lebron does with the cavs. 1 good reason why other players are half a$$ing because they know kobe is the one taking the game over. they probably play their heart out if they knew that they had a chance to take the last shot or something. remember kobe has to show leadership to like lebron does. during the season how many times have you heard kobe talk to him teamates in the huddle or something. i barely seem him talk to other players. i mean seem him talk to them like saying dont give up but its different from wut lebron does. he actually takes to him giving him advice tell them to be there for him when he needs them. thats one reason lebron has a good players around him because of his confidence in them.

ne wayz well im very happy the cavs made it. i would love to see lebron win a championship but i think people would be comparing him with MJ but other then that i would love to see him win. =)

you talk as if kobe has never given his teammates a chance. there was a period of time when kobe's scoring average dropped below 25 ppg and his assists shot up to nearly 8 per game. lakers were still winning then. it's not like kobe is asking for much, he just needs the other four players to carry their own weight.

the support lebron has around him is more competant than the ones surrounding kobe. they're a more fundamentally sound team, granted sometimes the cavs do have a tendency to sit on their feet. but they seem like they want to score and want to win. a completely different situation over here in la.

anyway i'm sick of this topic because i know no matter what happens, kobe won't be able to please them all. he's either an ego-maniac or a half-assed player who couldn't care less about his team. then again, all the great ones are the ones who receive all the criticism.

i really hope lebron takes one from duncan. that would actually make the season all worth it.

tell me about it. it was SO frustrating to watch the lakers play. their defense was a joke, kwame couldnt catch, sasha was only a three point shooter, smush was a joke, and lamar took too many outside shots when he's almost unstoppable when he drives in with his left hand.

ronny turiaf is a hustle player. he brings so much energy on and off the court. i dont think i ever heard a laker fan bash him.

unfortunately, it was embarrassing to be a laker fan this season. hopefully next season they will be real contenders although the west is only getting stronger with oden and durant most likely going to portland and seattle.

Yeah and the Cavs sure were decent pre-LeBron with that killer 17-65 record back in 02-03. Pre-Kobe the lakers were 53-29. And if you were wondering, no they didnt have Shaq back then. Big man was aquired back in the 96-97 season when the lakers went 56-29.

He might have ok players around him, but those guys minus Lebron is hardly anything to be scared of. Kobe is a great player we all know that, but is he a great team player? That is the question. let me start by saying that the cavs were never seriously considered playoff contenders until...yesterday. so let's slowly step off of the bandwagon...
it doesn't take a genius to see that lebron has a better supporting cast than kobe does. half the guys on the cavs i would take over the majority of the scrubs on the lakers. but since you're going on and on about a great team player and how kobe doesn't bring success in the playoffs, let me just remind you that kobe has won three consecutive championships. back when the lakers were a team, not a bunch of clueless scrubs.
you're also forgetting the fact that the eastern conference is a joke compared to the west.

i don't know if kobe is better than lebron or vice versa, but i will say that kobe's game is more complete than lebron's.

haha i never wanted the cavs to get in the finals cuz i didnt want people saying lebron could take his team to the finals while kobe couldnt. BUT i didnt want the pistons in the finals either cuz of what how they beat the lakers in the finals a couple of years ago. im still bitter about it. i was in a lose lose situation. i gotta give props to lebron though. he is an unselfish basketball player, and seems like a good guy on and off the court.
