too bad it's not going to happen. I find it interesting that everybody's wondering how the spurs will stop or contain lebron. Does everybody forget that Tim Duncan averages, what, something on the order of 24 points and 15 rebounds in the NBA finals? Does nobody care because he doesn't make impossible lay ups and doesn't do windmill dunks? He's the most underappreciated player in the L. I personally like watching him work. He's a virtuoso at what he does, and watching him out smart players is something everybody should be able to appreciate. What's wrong with a lot of players is that they try to fly around the court, take bad shots, and try to dunk on every possession. Why can't people appreciate a guy that plays the right way? All this guy does is work hard and win. All the Spurs do is play team Basketball, and win. And i love how people give the Spurs credit for being such a great defensive team. Everybody forgets that they can run, play in the half court, they can penetrate the paint, and they can shoot the three. They averaged well over 100 points against the Suns. News flash, they can score too. Parker, Manu, Finley, Barry, Horry. Three of these guys comes off the bench. Don't forget Beno. On a bad team, he would be a backup pg. Sixth man.
I'm laying it down. Spurs win game 2 by a slimmer margin.
They go back to cleveland, loose game 3. Spurs win game 4, then loose game 5.
They go home to SA, and they win game 6, series over.

o yes, i forgot to add... SA is a west team, and the entire east should go to the dleague.

The Cavs just need to break out of their routine and make the Spurs get out of their routine.
Spurs pretty much play the same system over and over again (the slow but quick and loose at the end 85 point game.)

yeah spurs can be beat and they might play the same system, but they are in the finals for a reason.
i don't mind low scoring games like game one, i like defence > offence, i think its more skillful and works a treat. But thats just me.

Actually a lot of us expected the Spurs making the Finals. It would've been them, the Mavericks or Suns.

the cavs play a much better team defense than the lakers. and boobie gibson blew up against the pistons so...i think its fair to say that the cavs have a better supporting cast.

i hate to admit it, its fun watching the spurs dominate the cavs though... shows how weak the whole east is.

it's really sad that the two sides aren't balanced at all.
i think they said in commentary that there are probably a good handful of teams on the west that can beat cavs in a series.
i'd believe it.

thing is, the Spurs are a great defensive team. they're able to play both their opponents' half-court sets and stop a high-powered offense (i.e., Suns). i find it really difficult to beat a team that doesn't rely on its offensive abilities to win games, especially when the team that's trying to beat the Spurs is as inexperienced as the Cavs. if the Cavs want to have a chance, their entire team has to show up for game 3 from beginning to end on defense and focusing on getting stops. they have too many breakdowns. easier said than done when you're playing against a consistent, smothering defense that'll totally frustrate you.

I say Spurs sweep or Cavs get just one win at home.

We should petition the spurs to be moved to the East then aye?

doubt this will EVER happen. Spurs are one of the best road teams in the NBA, because they play consistent defense. They will not will three straight against the spurs. Review the stats and look at how many times the spurs have lost back to back games in the playoffs. I assure you the number is tiny.
