ok what is WHAT class like? i think you're speaking of majors...so I mean they vary and I can't really tell you what the class is like in detail because psychology and urban studies are huge topics and that's why they take 4 years to complete. (many more for psych because no ones going to come pay big bucks for psychological treatment if you've only got 4 years under your belt)
urban studies will pertain to a lot of sociology, some general legal studies, possibly some econ, and history of course to learn about the history of cities. i'm not sure why you think its about math/physics unless you're talking about urban planning or civil engineering. maybe you meant civil engineering...
yes you will probably come across a few writing intensive course but no need to freak out yet. you will take your general writing/english/composition courses that will teach you how to be a much better writer. but i mean there are times that you will be asked to write extensive papers w/out much guidance or with a limited scope and it will be difficult
and yeah most non-intensive writing courses are more limited in writing...

well since it's only my first term I'm only taking up Introduction to Psychology
Well... it does involve papers and experiments.
We did 4 papers, one was a report on our survey, paper/video in convincing people thru media, measuring one's intelligence thru quizzes and finding out if it's generic and a group project about psychology (all of my papers are by group)
One or 2 take home essays... I don't remember really xD
We had 2 exams, essay exam... these are sit in
Since it's only an introduction so we tackled less terms but our professor said that we'll tackle more terms in the suceeding terms
Even if I'm a psych major we still had PE, math, political science, introduction to anthropology and science
Next term we'll have Critical Thinking (and I have no idea what it is xD)
To be honest, psychology is not that scary
I think the 50 page paper that they are talking about is a final paper or thesis o_O or a very detailed experiment

but im thinking taking psychology would be better bcoz i'm more interested in that more than urban studies... it's 4 years so i gotta do something i like...
i wish icould just go into aritecture though... thank u very much i was scared of the work... but it's school...

yeah but if you want to be an architect you should definitely go to a school that has that...
don't just major in something because it sounds more cool/fun than what you plan to be doing in the long run. if you get through two years of psych and have second thoughts...it really doesn't have much in common w/ architecture and you'll have to start all over..and college is EXPENSIVE. yeah, there is way too much hype on the psych major

the reason is in alberta, canada u have to get a bachelors degree (a four year course?) in order to take aritecture.. therefore i need to get a bachelors somewhere first.. but i have considered being a therapist or psychiatrist so i do find psychology interesting : ) but not as much as aritecture.. i really like design.. so i do find it hard i might fall back on interior design.. ahh very hard decision thank u

if you're into that sort of stuff
yeah psych is an easy major and getting your B.A. is gonna be a breeze BUT!
you have to think about going to grad school and later on getting a ph.d or equivalent to even work
