So after being on this forum for a little while I start to notice a whole new form of girls... jealous, throw the word hate around too easily, too obsessed with how other girls look to a point where it's a bit creepy almost, extremly fast in summing up someone's whole character through their looks.

Well Not exactly new obviously, but new to me since I guess I'm use to being around decent girls, or decent people in general.

Anyways - point of this thread I just want to ask..

Why do yuu guys think that girls get so jealous over other girls? and why do they feel the need to call any girl they find to be pretty and say "they must be fake" or something negative about that girl without even hearing her speak or knowing anything about them , esp. online girls claim any pretty girl to be fake and PS'd and are so quick to judge.

Another example, the "ulzzang" thread on here, it seems that only girls are the target of ithe many nsults I've read in that thread, that range from insulting a girl for wearing a shirt they find too "low cut" or pants that are too "tight" or basically having a better looking body and wearing clothes that don't have to be all out there and all but just wearing clothes that show it off even just a little and they're insulted for it..Or if their face and such is obviously too PS'd they're insulted for it and it's pointed out as if it's something new.

Rather than the guys who are obviously photoshopping and wearing makeup (eye makeup) and circle lens even more than the girls, But never get called fake for it or anything like that. But simply praised and obsessed over for being cute?

So it is clear that most girls are just jealous of girls prettier than them or they would be pointing out "fake" points in the guys too, right? I never believed that whole "girls hate me because I'm pretty" persona that many girls seem to have and go on as if there is no other reason to hate them but now I'm seeing that it is really true for most girls atleast.

So I can only wonder, why do girls have to hate on beautiful girls and make themselves look like jealous little children? =)
Why can't us girls just not be jealous of other girls and be secure with ourselves, and love ourselves? =)


Before someone points out the obvious. I'll do it.

I obviously don't mean all girls are like this.

Nor am I asking random people that may not be "haters" as to why "haters" hate on girls, I'm asking why do you THINK they do it as in your own opinion, and what do you think when you hear or see a girl hating on another girl for no known reason other than her image, style, face, body, ect.

And for you "haters" that know you're like this, and probably wont admit to it anyways but I'm hoping some might because I can point out quite a few, I am wondering what makes you such a jealous person that you have to sum up so much negative energy and waste it on someone just because you find them attractive.

Girls have this list, a list of "do nots" and so they don't approve of girls who do any of it.
Ex.: Photoshop picture, behave certain ways, dress certain ways, etc.

We're just vicious creatures, though many grow out of it.

Hmm well when girls are pretty to me I say they are pretty
but when there are 100% true facts they got plastic surgery done
it makes me think they are not that pretty since they did some stuff
but its a fact so yeah
and when its so obvious its photoshopped then obvisoully they are not attractive thats why they do it
but I dont just accuse without the facts.
plus i am VERY PICKY as to who is hot in both genders.

and plus everyone has diff tastes. sum ppl think michael jackson is hot but others think hes really ugly.

ever since us girls were little looks were like one of the biggies for example barbies. so it's no question that we'll be competing with each other with our looks. when we see a girl that has what we want, instead of being happy for that person we resent them for having that certain feature. i don't think this continue with many girls. some girls grow to be happy with their looks and don't see prettier girls as their enemies. maybe the decent girls that you've met were taught that they were beautiful inside and outside since they were little compare to other girls that were critisize by their parents about their looks even if the girl tries very hard to improve themselves since they were little. i don't think guys take looks to the very point that it gets so dramatic because instead of being taught to have nice features and etc, they were taught to be men which is not obsessing about their looks. i'm sorry i wrote so much lol

Hey you know those kinda girls will probably be like "oh that's not me" before they bash someone else, eh? lolz.. jk ..i;m not saying that i;m not one of those girls, because honestly i can be kinda catty too, so yeah... but i think the reason of girls being the way they are (jealous, dishonest, etc.) is because alot of girls in general are very catty and competitive by nature, and of course insecure.. and honestly they're are alot more girls that get fixed (are "fake") and do alot.. where guys tend to do less .. i think that some people are just like that, and with the good (nice people) comes the bad (not so nice people)

Because ulzzang are supposed to be good looking. Obvious photoshopping is not always nice. In the ulzzang + 411's it's mostly all about looks so people will point out good and bad parts.

.. I think you're overreacting a bit. Ofcourse there's girls who complain too much, but when I look around ulzzang topics and 411's I mostly see good comments.

I'm not talking about whether someone uses PS or not lol that's another thread talking about that. This is not about photoshop. and I'm not just talking about the ulzzang thread or the 411 thread I'm talking about basically any sub-forum and thread where pictures are posted lol which does include those two but they're not the only ones obviously.

And what am I overreacting about....? lol asking a question based on something that we all know is real and going on out of boredom is overreacting? lol it's like I'm like "HEY GIRLS WHY ARE YOU SO JEALOUS FOR?!!" lol that would be overreacting and kind of weird. lol

How would you know whether some guy has had more surgery than some girl? other than the fact that guys can't get boobs done unless they're a trans. I guess, then guys can get just as much and mroe facial surgery as any girl, girls are just indenial about it.

so a guy could look like a freaking ghost with huge ugly eyes and they'll say he had no surgery lol.
Trust me guys get just as much facial surgery as the girls just no one cares to point it out because it's somehow okay for guys to do it but when a girl does they're this and that and all of the sudden it's an issue.

I thought it was a bit of overreacting because to me it seemed like you only saw the bad stuff girls write.
You kinda talk like the majority of girls here on soompi are jealous girls.

Because I know plastic surgery isn't a "Girl's only" thing lol lets be realistic here honey. We're all living in the same world here and get the same pressure from everywhere to look a certain way and guys are nothing special where they're immunre to it as you can probably tell by the amount of guys PS'ing the hell out of their pcitures in the 411 section they clearly aren't too concerned with being "men" and not focus on their looks so much although whose to define what being a real man is =P we all have our own perceptions on it.

I am not only seeing the bad things that the majority of girls on here do say about other girls they don't know, I am pointing out the bad stuff because I can and that is what I decided to do, making a thread called "Girls - why are we so nice" and saying how nice some girls are and what nice things they say would be kind of pointless wouldn't it. lol

I know they're decent girls on here that aren't jealous and miserable and that's good for them but I made this thread to ask about the other side that I have noticed. If you want to make a thread about the nice things girls do to other girls then go ahead lol

MizzyNgel980. I am just saying...we as females and as humans, just are not very...kind. I am not saying guys aren't great and better than us, and in no way should they disrespect us. I just have the POV that no one is really genuinely nice, and we just speak negatively a lot about others. I didn't LITERALLY mean 99.9%; it was a hyperbole to denote how I feel. actually, i've seen some pretty nice people on soompi. yes, there are a lot of people like that but whatever i usually ignore rude comments. but i guess it's just female nature? and that we have double standards for the guys, haha.

It's natural to feel jealous over someone; and if many people praise that person, you start to look for flaws just to prove that they aren't all that great as people think they may be.

I can't give you the girl's point of view since I am not a girl but,

as a guy there is no drama among these things. More than likely you don't really see a guy complimenting another guy like "oh your eyes look pretty today" The stereotype that the guys get isn't really about their appearance and wake up real early in the morning to apply makeups and such so we do not have that kind of problem regarding jealousy over another's appearance or calling them fake.

my mom is like that to the extreme. i'm not going to say i haven't acted like that at one point in my life, but ANYWAY.

the reason why i think some of the girls act jealous and whatnot is because they're insecure. insecure about their looks, or whatever it may be. and usually it's a way to make them feel better about themselves when they say something completely untrue, or bizarre, such as, "oh, she's a slut anyway." or, "oh, her nose/boobs/teeth/ears/eyes/other part is probably fake anyway." or whatever else.

i've seen this way too much, and i completely agree. i don't know why some girls just randomly throw out the word "hate", "slut" or some bad insult just to make their egos inflate. it just makes themselves look worse.

but this is what i think.
