I always use Adobe Premiere 6.5 as a video editor since i'm familiar with it for many years now. I have Premiere Pro installed. I think it's better but it takes a while before i can get used to it so i stayed with Premiere 6.5.

I am editing avi videos encoded from my video cam.

But how can you edit AVIs compressed in XVID or DIVX format. (you know, the usual format of movies and dramas that you can download from clubboxes)/

Is there like a codec or plug-in you need to add in your Premiere program so that you can use premiere?

Or is there a different editing software that we cna use for editing those types of videos.

I know a lot of people make MVs of their favorite K-dramas using the videos downloaded from clubboxes.

If you install the standard Xvid and Divx codes it should work fine in Premiere, it worked fine for me in Premiere Pro but I don't know if its an issue with the older version not supporting direct show.

Thanks! I'll reformat my pc and i will install Windows XP SP2 and the latest adobe premiere pro 2.0. I hope it will support Xvid and DivX compressed videos. If it will, i think it's time for me to be serious with the premiere pro and give up the very old premiere 6.0. tongue.gif
