So, I'm off to my first day of college on Monday. I can't help but feel freakishly nervous when I think about it. I mean, I didn't even break a sweat when I started high school. Uhm, I guess it's because I don't know anyone there. So I was wondering if anyone is going to Sacramento City College? Have them help me out a little bit so I won't get lost. Or...they can get lost with me. xD Kinda weird of me to ask this online, but I thought it would be cool to have a fellow soompier with me.

If not, can you guys give me some pointers? Mainly, I'm scared of getting lost on campus! What were your experiences like?

Hey I went to Sac City several years ago~ Don't worry, i was a bit nervous too when I started going there, but it turned out to not be that bad. To make sure I didn't get lost, I kept a copy of the campus map with me. I also marked the buildings on the map that my classes were in and that helped me. And if you get lost, you could always ask someone on campus where something is. haha for some reason I had a lot of people on campus ask me for directions to a building O_o
Oh and usually during the first week of school, parking is crazy so I got to campus earlier so I wouldn't be late for class. Though...I think now they have a new parking structure so I don't know how difficult it would be to find parking.

lol but yeah, don't worry you'll do fine^^

Campus map is your friend, and if you can't get your hands on one you can always ask other people on campus. I was kind of nervous when I started my first semester at City College of San Francisco too, but trust me its an unique experience. =]

I'm starting my second year tomorrow.

Advice: if lost, ask for directions. That's what I did my first day. I was late (10 minutes) to my first class because I was lost but my prof didn't care, just kept talking.

It's new but you'll get used to it really quickly, just like anything else. Everyone is just older. So no need to worry so much! ^^;

Pointers: get a laptop. You'll probably need it. I'm the type that hates writing notes down and prefer typing them. Plus most prof's are okay with you using it during class (if it's class related of course). But it's also good if you're in a huge class (100+) and you're really bored. Then you can chat/go online (of course, you SHOULD pay attention >.<)

College is much better than high school IMO. So enjoy it! Just don't go crazy with stress.
