so i really want this phone as my new phone since it seems to have a nice camera and it has mp3 so i think it'll be good when i go to college. my parents said i can get it too, but the problem is they're very reluctant to buy off the internet and said i can only get it if it becomes a phone in the AT&T provider =/. They're really concerned that if i buy it online i wont get a good warranty, be ably to return it if it has problems, or it wont work with our plan. Personally, I think it would be fine if we bought it online, but i'm just concerned about it working with my plan in AT&T because my plan doesnt have texting so my dad said i can get it when i get a new phone...but yea -__-;;. can i still renew my plan, but not buy a phone through AT&T?? and can you guys enlighten me about some of my parent's/my concerns about the phone and our carrier. thanks!

Its all about finding the right sellers that provides warranty. You can get warrant with plemix but theres a fee, couple ebay sellers provider year warranty, and other online retailers provide warranties but forgot who did and who didn't.

You can use the w580 with at&t because it supports 850 mhz. I don't have a texting plan either on my plan, but I still text. Its like what, .10 cent per text and .20 for each incoming txt?

Search around ebay sellers that provides warranty and are located in the US.

I'll try to look for that site that provides a year warranty.
