Hi friends,

My name is Gary and in general I have had a very tumultuous past with girls. For one reason or another I just haven't found my soul mate until just recent.
I met her through an online pen-pal site where foreigners can meet in order to form a bond with a complete stranger from another country.
I have been dazzled by our chemistry from the first few e-mails we sent to one another. As we grew more accustomed to each other so did our lines of communication. It went from weekly snail mails to what it now daily full fledged hourly sessions of intense mind blowing web cam routines.
I can say without an inkling doubt of skepticism that Tomoko is my "other half".

herein lies the wretched dilemma I'm faced with..

Tomoko wants me to move to Japan and live with her. The eventual saga would swain to the notion of 'us' (as a happily loving couple) would soon tie the knot.
My Japanese is very limited but I know the basics. Communication is a very worrisome concern for me.
I told her I wasn't a virgin which I still am.
She is sharing an apartment with another girl which has me oozing in fear.
Its not out of the realm of possibility my hormones could betray not only myself but also Tomoko.

Lastly, I am torn at the prospect of having to leave behind a life I'm quite content on living minus my relationship woes. For instance, I wouldn't see my little brother nor would I be able to drive my BMW 335ci.
I don't even know if they have bubble tea in Japan. I can't go more than 2 days without my green tea BT.
More importantly is the realization of having to say goodbye to my friends no doubt a damning thought.

So in the end it all boils down to sacrificing everything for love.
I have till September 10 to notify Tomoko of my intentions.

I need some genuine advice and worthwhile opinions. This issue has been weighing down on me heavily for awhile.

Exactly how long have you known this girl? It can't be more than a few months, judging from your last posts in the L&R forums. You should really meet each other and get to know each other before deciding to move in together - you have your own life (I assume), and it doesn't really make any sense to give it all up to live with a girl you've never met. People do seem different in real life than on the internet, and you shouldn't base your assumptions on a few e-mails you've exchanged.

If your biggest worry about moving to Japan is not being able to drive your car, I doubt you're mature enough to handle moving to another country and living with a girl.

Take a short vacation and stay at her place. Decide if you could live like that, or not.

Sorry this sounds like the series Friends with Won Bin and Kyoko Futada..... but aside from the similarity, how are you so certain she is your "soul mate"? If she's your soul mate, how come she is unwilling to where you are living? There needs to be compromises... you should not ever sacrifice your family and friends over someone you have never met before.

Wow. that's quite the situation you're in, and from an online site too. I say go visit Japan at least and get more of a feel for how everything would be there, including life with this friend of yours. You dont wanna make such a huge decision, especially when tied in with a relationship, without testing it out first.

Umm... if you haven't met I don't think you should decide to go live with her. Umm I guess if you want to visit first it's okay. For me I'm very traditional so I think marriage first then live together, but that's how I am. And I'm pretty sure Japan has bubble tea. lol.
