Okay, so today I go for an interview. There are 3 other people there too for the same job and they have a lot more experience than I do so I'm sure they'll get it and not me. I tried to act all chipper anyways just in case she was looking for someone younger (meaning me) I kept answering the questions she asked and she would smile and say things like "that's very good" At the end of the interview she shook my hand and placed a hand on my shoulder while laughing then said "You're a hoot!" What does that even mean? Is that a good thing or am I completely screwed here and jobless?

I kind of got the jist of what it meant but I wasn't sure if it was a good or bad thing given the situation. I mean would you want to hire someone that's a hoot?

hmm, it does mean you're funny. but it could also be used when someone's silly, like a 'dumb blond' is a hoot...because they are so clueless its funny...good luck~~
