So far for the past three years of high school, I've been bringing sandwiches (made the night before by me) every day for lunch.
I NEED A CHANGE T___T. the sandwiches are really plain, too.. just bread, ham, lettuce, with maybe some sauces or cheese.

I don't like to buy lunch cause we have super long lines in the hot sun, so making is pretty much my own choice..
And buying things like Lunchables gets expensive after a while..

so.. do you guys have any suggestions on good-tasting, (somewhat) healthy, easy to make, and cheap lunch ideas?

thanks! smile.gif

^ I don't really like to bring rice when I was in elementry because the rice tasted odd after awhile.

I'm not really sure what you should bring though, never brought my lunch to school sicne the 4th grade ><;
Maybe bring a treat to swallow that sandwich down XD

You could bring leftovers to school and just heat them up in the cafeteria, that is if you have access to a microwave. I was boring and always brought a sandwich to school ><

Salad, fruit salad, microwaved foods, mac & cheese, rice and a side dish. Or maybe "upgrade" your sandwiches? Like putting in avacado, tomatoes, toasting the bread, different cheeses, natella (this chocolate and nut thingy). Someone had that in her sandwich before and said it tastes really good. :/ Be creative with your sandwiches. tongue.gif

hahah before in highschool one day I wanted to show off my food so i made BENTO, basically it is a japanese lunch box. The portion of rice is very small and I made some sushie +rice balls(made it into happy face) people were like surrounding me, wondering what I am eating. hahaha as you can tell i grew up in a red neck / white populated city. hahah i didn't it just for the attention...I know i'm a rainbow but needed to include asian culture in my food eh?

I always just ate school lunch....lol
My then bf used to make me tuna melts. They were yummy.
But if I had a choice I would bring rice and side dishes or make a bento most definitely. I've never had plain white rice taste bad after packing it mellow.gif

Haha wow, it's ridiculously hard to get food at my school.
Overcrowded and by the time you sit down the bell rings.
So most people I know bring little stuff like that.

Anyway, I used to bring sandwiches too...
so yeah, salads and things like that.

I don't think thats called anorexic. It sounds more like a diet to me.
Even though anorexic is like diet but not eating foods a lot.
But I think those girls were in serious diet. By eating less of cheese-its and bring box of wheats.
Thats good that they eat wheat food, because it's really good for your health.

I mean I would eat it if I was stricted with HEALTH diets ohmy.gif

^ It's not anorexic because sometimes we just don't have the time wait in line or pack lunches.
I don't really even eat lunch, but if I wasn't too hungry during lunchtime, I'd rather just eat a bag of chips or something.

I never bring lunch to school.
It's always either getting something from caf, going out, or nothing at all

haha, last year my friends brought a bunch of snacks (all cheese related - cheetos, cheez-its, gold fish..etc) every other day and we'd just share and eat together. It filled up half the cafeteria table we sat at. definitely kept us full even though not exackly healthy or a proper lunch >__>;

yeah, I don't know what to bring to school for lunch either 0.0 besides a sandwich xD I usually don't eat lunch at school because I'm a vegetarian and our school doesn't provide any non-meats stuff.. except veggie burger but they only have ONE everyday..so I'm lucky if I can get it o.o I've become addicted to buying lunchboxes so~ I want to use 'em this year aha.
