ive had my xbox for about 6 years now. its been great until yesterday where it started to turn off after playing for about 15 min. It keeps doing this. is it cuz its dusty or something. abnyone help?

wow 6 years thats pretty good!
Well theres always the concern about dust which would cause overheating. The power supply could be going bad but im not sure about xbox diagnostics sad.gif

if it is cuz of dust do i need to take it apart and stuff to clean it?

How do the vents in the back look? Often you can just use a can of air to blow at the back and hope its all ok. Otherwise taking it apart isnt too bad. But not everyone has the tools you need to open it. The xbox uses a Torx 10 (I think) screw which looks sorta like a star. My xbox was a little dustball happy.gif

it makes wierd noises and stuff. so i guess ill hav to tkae it apart. do u know what parts i need to do specifically?

It has 1 fan in the back and a bunch of heatsinks. There are plenty of disassembly guides online the ones for modchips are great. Just ignore the parts about taking out the board or whatever you just need to be able to see the board and you're set.
