Hopefully you're able to run the registry editor...
Go to Start > Run > type regedit (if you've got XP) or regedt32 (if you've got Win2k) and hit <enter>.
Now go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\VirtualDeviceDrivers\VDD
Look for the VDD entry on the right. It might show the file S32EVNT1.DLL listed under DATA.
Double-click on VDD and a window pops up. Under Value Data, delete everything so it's blank. Hit OK and close the registry editor. Now reboot your computer and see if the problem is still there.
It could also be caused by some other program that you installed recently. In which case you're probably gonna have to uninstall it to get rid of the problem. Old corrupted programs could be another cause. Norton (Symantec) has been known to cause this problem too so uninstalling them might be a good idea.
