hey. im very not computer techish savvy... so i was wondering if you guys can help me out.
so im going to buy a usb flash drive, and i was wondering how much each of these sizes hold.. based on like powerpoints/documents/ music... etc.
512 mb
1 gb
2 gb

^ which one should i get? i don't have a whole bunch to store, but it's not that little either... would 1gb be okay for a highschool / college student?

well i guess it really depends on what kind of files u'll be saving, but if it's just regular high school suff 1G is the one for you.
512mb is ok too but if ur gonna buy the 512mb might as well pay like $8 more and get a 1G, doubling the memory.
1G is plenty for ur entire high school career. gor college too. =)

most people i know that have a 1 gig flash drive don't even use all the space, and some of them paid a pretty crappy price for it. pick a 512 MB or above because you never know when you'll need extra space. but be sure to get a good deal! i've seen 256 MB flash drives at safeway selling for $30 bucks. THAT IS A BOP. don't buy don't buy don't buy! you'll have better luck at places like office depot, office max, staples, circuit city, etc. i got my 512 MB flash drive for $20 dollars. a few brands at the top of my head are sandisk, ativa, & toshiba.

now if u had this handy store called frys electronics near ur area...
512 mb costs less than $5 (if u can find it)
1 gig is around $8-15
2 gigs is $17-23

or u could look around www.newegg.com for a flash drive

walmart has 2GB PNY USB Flash drives for $19 that's where i got mine.
