It will only slightly (hence the word SLIGHTLY) reduce the physical size of your belly. Yes it will make the muscles harder but if you have a body fat % above a certain rate (10% I think? correct me if I'm wrong) no matter how many times you do this, you're abs won't show because they will be hidden under your fat. You have to do cardio (running etc.) in order to lose bodyfat, crunches etc. will only build muscle.
Even if you can do 99999999 crunches in one sitting it won't make a noticeable difference infront of the mirror.
Make sure to take a couple days rest during the week because your muscles will need to recover during this time which will make them grow. And watch what you eat. Most importantly, take days off to keep yourself motivated. I haven't tried this, I just do crunches and leg raises, which works fine for me ^_____________^

I run ~everyday (unless I have too much homework/projects/club stuff) so hopefully it'll work out P:
