^ Its all what you eat mate! Eating right + losing fat that is covering your abs is the main thing you really need to concentrate on.

a.k.a, Cardio + Diet >>>>>> abs training.

For you, i will.

to the people that posted pictures and said this works:

are you guys dieting and doing outside exercises with 8min abs?

i've been doing this workout with my roommate for about 3 months, about 5 times a week and we do cardio for about 30-40 minutes (maybe 3-4 days a week) and we've seen barely any results!!

what's the secret? - _ -

basically it's for people with already flat stomaches who want 6 packs.
if someone was like, a santa clause size, can't slim their belly down just doing this exercise. you have to cardio etc. to lose overall body fat, and THEN do this exercise to tone and slim the belly down to a nice looking size

Well even if you have a belly, you'd still be growing ab muscles underneath the fat in the stomach area.
If you're abs don't feel any stronger, I'm guessing you aren't doing the exercise right?

If you do this exercise right, you'd think of this work-out as the hardest 8 minutes of your day.
Since this is an ab exercise, pull your body up with your abdominal muscles...
Don't take the cheapo way out of rocking back & forth using momentum. pulling yourself up with your hands behind your head, or only going halfway up.

Before I do 8 minute abs, I usually take an exercise ball and arch my back over it to stretch out my abs. It gets them warmed up to take a beating for the next 8 minutes, plus I get a much better and effective ab work-out.

I also control my diet as well. I'm korean and 90% of my dinners are korean food. I changed my diet slightly from being able to eat anything to eating almost the same amount of side dishes, but only eating 1/3 amount of rice.

As for any extra ab work-outs, I do 75 extra crunches on the standing ab pull machine and 50 crunches on the seated ab crunch machine. It's a hardcore work-out!

This is a hard exercise... and if you do them right, you should at least FEEL stronger after 2 weeks and probably SEE dramatic results within a month!

Also.. I had a question lol~
Say I just wanted a flat stomach..
But I'm fattty ass.... LOL
Would this 8min ab workout work? ^^

Hmm...
My abs are starting to show, but I think they aren't coming in aligned.
It's not because I've been doing more on one side than the other, but I think my right side abs are weaker than the left side abs...

If they already started to look misaligned, is it too late to change it?
How would I fix it?

when you do the side crunch, do more towards the left direction because those work your right abs. after you balance them out, do the same number for both again.

I'm wondering if doing this actually widens my waist line even more?
As in, sorta like...

from this

You know.. the curvy waist line?

to this

Toned but almost straight at the sides (except the packs tongue.gif)

...if anyone gets me haha.
Its just another ordinary miracle today.

Okay. So I've been doing this for a little over a month now smile.gif

November 8, 2008 - Before

December 16, 2008 - Now

No abs yet unfortunately. I just got a lot skinnier.

I won't complain though because this has helped me a lot.
I don't do any exercise other than this and I eat whatever I want.
A lot of ice cream, chips, candy, soda, etc.
It's amazing I didn't gain weight. lol.

My thighs also slimmed down too. I can squeeze myself into 16 kids now. woo smile.gif

I'll update again next month.
Hopefully I'll progress more. :]

Oh my goodness. I just tried this. And 2 minutes into the video.. my ab area doesn't hurt. But my neck sure does. But I'm doing what the guy is doing.. so I don't know why its hurting.. unless I'm NOT doing what he's doing.. although I'm pretty sure I am. DX

I had to stop since my neck is hurting so badly. Is that.. suppose to happen? O_O
Man.. I hope it doesn't snap off and roll away.

EDIT: I think..
I think I am going to throw up............I'm so unhealthy!

Well, your neck isn't supposed to hurt unless you're pushing your head up with your hands instead of just supporting it.

But my neck hurts when I do the toe touches and the push throughs XD;

use your stomach to pull yourself up not momentum or your back
your neck shouldn't hurt if you look straight up at the ceiling and relax it

your neck is always going to hurt at the beginning because there are muscles in there that are being worked as well if ur constantly lifting ur head up. but as the muscles get stronger and you get use to it, it will stop hurting.

My mom said I toned up a little but I can't feel it actually.

@ordinaRynee It toned a bit. You should post up pictures that is much closer cause you can't see the difference and due to the lightning its dark a bit.

I've tried this before and I must say It really works.
I did this 3 to 4 times a week. In a month or so, you can see some hard muscles on your stomach.
But after awhile Im getting tired doing this exercise and then It goes back to normal.

b/c I'm on break and my life is dull sweatingbullets.gif
edited this for easier comparison:

I'd say your abdominal area got more toned? But it doesn't look like your waist size is any different...
