Does anyone know a good program to record with a mic?
Or a program where you can dl that can get rid of the singer's voice. Like an instrumental version?
Cuz if you do, I would appreciate it a lot if you tell me!!
Thank you!!
Audacity is good place to start. It's a shareware from memory. Infact let me boot it up and see what it is. Ok, it seems to be freeware! Even better~
I need some serious help here.
I'm going for an audition for singing next Thursday.
I need to know the best and fastest way to warm up my voice.
I need to loosen up my voice.
Someone please tell me what should I do before the audition so my voice can be in a good condition?
I don't wanna end up sounding like I just wake up.
Please respond to me, don't ignore me this time as I've been ignored many times =.=
In my own experience, fastest way to warm up in my opinion is the lip bubbles. I think from a scientifical point of view, lip bubbles sends blood faster to the vocal folds (I think I heard this from a vocal teacher, ENT or vocal student). Well ignoring the facts, you feel a night a day difference after say, 3mins of lip bubbles.
for one thing, you NEED to open your mouth so the words you saing will come out more clearly. U dont want to sound squeaky when u sing, OPEN ur mouth. And when u sing a slow song, your vibrato, should ALSO be slow and smooth so it could match the feeling to the song.
personally, i never heard ur voice, but its a good tip.
and when i warm up my voice, i don't sing the song i'm auditioning, you ma think its weird but it helps, i usually find a much much harder song to sing where i can still sing that song and sing it a couple of time, or find some other songs to sing, THEn i can finally come to the song that i'm singing. By that time, ur voice would be stronger.
thats my experience. =)
I don't really agree the mouth has to always be open but I agree it has to be open. There are some vowels where it should not remain as open, such as an E vowel, and possibly the UUUU vowel, where you might tend to splat~
oh i need some help here,
i did read a list of song that applicants should sing in the auditions, but i forgot, and cant find it
but if you want to tell me what i should sing in the auditions, that wuold be nice,
thanks
Sing something you're very comfortable with. Don't sing things that are borderlining your vocal abilities though, because when you walk into that audition, you might fail under pressure. Also, whatever you sing, make sure you know the lyrics so well, you could basically sing it backwards (not literally but you understand what I'm getting at) because you might forget them as you walk in (even when you know the lyrics so well).
you're sound card is responsible for latency and the quality of your sounds. If you buy a better soundcard for recording , you improve latency.
One must not forget that even if you buy a good soundcard on the market, if you don't set the latency, and the default value is high, then you'd always get that 'delay'. I'd try setting it first before trying to change the value. I don't know if cheaper soundcards/onboard soundcards have this function.
Whenever I sing now my voice always gets scratchy at some point.
Is it because I damaged my vocal chords? :\
Yes, that is temporary damage. It will heal, but if everytime you sing and you are continously recieving this problem, then you should go to a vocal teacher to examine your singing technique.
