than go to sounds & audio devices
than go to audio & look for sound recording..make sure its seleted that u usually record by...(e.g. mine would be logitech microphone)
than go voice...than find voice recording & make sure it is where u wanted it to be..(e.g. mine would be realtek HD audio input)
than once u done...hit apply...

I practice alot with the singer singing and I was able to improve alot such as reach high notes along with them but when it's just instrumental my voice feels nude and I crack in the simplelist song.

anyways i believe singing by urself with out the actual singer is like a test..
lets say u were gonna audition for a company..there is no way they are gonna let u sing with the singer cuz than it will be like copying..but if u sing by urself without the singer than it shows ur potential in singing...

is there a reason for this?
also, what are some good microphones, i have a high voice and i wanted a mic. that can actually
pick up what i am singing, also what kind of program I should use to record myself singing.
I just used the sound recorder on my computer, but of course that always doesn't work.
Also, when i play the music and record all i get the music and its static any one knows why?

i used the program that samson mic came with.. umm forgot the name.. i didn't change anything and the pan thingy is centered
when i was using audacity the it's still centre panned but if i record in stereo i would still get big left channel and minimal right channel

5imply_5wt - i think i figured out your problem. that samson is a condenser mic. i'm guessing your logitech was not? well, anyways, you should record in mono and i think that will solve the problem. your soundcard probably does not have inputs separate for left and right channels; so when u connect your mic, the default would always be the left channel. so when u record in stereo, you are ultimately recording in the left channel. if u record in mono, both left and right channels automatically share the same sound. if u wanted to record in true stereo, u would need to get two mics, and connect one mic to the left channel input and one mic to the right channel input and record from there.
