Samsung has unveiled three new Q1 Ultra Mobile PCs. The first one is the Q1U-ELXP, which is powered by a 600MHz A100 Ultra Mobile processor and a 40GB hard drive with a list price of $999. The $1149 Q1U-XP comes with a 800MHz A110 processor and an 80GB hard drive, while the $1649 Q1U-SSDXP unit offers the same processor but comes with 32GB NAND flash drive. These UMPCs are powered by Windows XP Tablet Edition

Samsung SPH-P9200 Mobile WiMAX UMPC
Samsung has unveiled its compact UMPC Deluxe MITs (or SPH-P9200) at the Samsung 4G Forum 2007 in Korea. This portable gadget is actually a successor of the SPH-P9000, which can connect to wireless internet and VoIP phone via Mobile WiMax. The UMPC is powered by Windows XP operating system and adopts 5-inch touch screen, QWERTY keyboard and 30GB of hard disk drive.

Asus Eee PC Will Be Released In September
Asustek will begin shipping the Asus Eee PC budget laptop simultaneously to clients in the US, Europe, China, and Taiwan in mid-September. The Eee PCs will be available at $199, $239, $349 and $369 depending on specifications. The first round of EEE PC shipments targets 20,000 units. Jonney Shih, Asus’s chairman, predicted earlier that shipments of the Eee PCs will top 500,000 in 2007 and will increase to 3-5 million in 2008. FYI, the cheapest $199 model will not be available in the United States.

Fujitsu U810 Ultra Mobile PC
Fujitsu has developed a palm-sized computer called the U810 (or U1010). This UMPC can be docked into a docking station with an external display and keyboard to get a true desktop experience. The U810 adopts an Intel A110 processor and provides an LCD screen with 1024×600 resolution, Intel TBD video graphics, 945GU Express chipset, and 1GB DDR2 RAM. Other features include a 1.8-inch 4200rpm hard drive, a/b/g wireless, Bluetooth, fingerprint reader, QWERTY keyboard, webcam, and Windows Vista operating system. It will be available from September with a starting price of $1000.

Raon Everun UMPC With HSDPA
Raon Digital’s Everun Ultra Portable PC comes with HSDPA wireless connection for surfing, SMS and Voice. The gadget is powered by an AMD Geode LX900 featuring 600MHz of processing power and provides a QWERTY keypad, and 4.8″ 16.7 million colors Wide VGA LCD screen. Its high-capacity Lithium Ion batteries offers battery life of up to 12 hours. Everun adopts advanced wireless technology including HSDPA, WIMAX (802.16e Wibro), WiFi and Bluetooth.

Concept UMPC From Intel
Intel showed off its new concept UMPC at 2007 Computex in Taipei. Dubbed as Donley, the concept features a 5 inch touchscreen display that swivels, integrated Wi-Fi, Bluetooth connectivity and wireless WAN. The device also runs Windows Vista.

The Tango Wings UMPC
The Tango Wings UMPC comes jam packed with a 7 inch color touchscreen display and quick access keys along the frame. This UMPC also come with a directional pad located to the left of the display. Other features include a full QWERTY keyboard which is split down the middle. No word on pricing or availability yet.

TabletKiosk ‘eo’ Ultra-Mobile PC
Wanting a part of the Microsoft Origami/Ultra-Mobile PC market, TabletKiosk has introduced its own Ultra-Mobile PC called the ‘eo.’ The eo comes with a 1.0 GHz Via C7M processor, Bluetooth, and Wi-Fi. The eo has a weight of about 2 lbs and a battery life with around 2 1/2 hours. Prices start at about $900 US.


MacTablet Concept
Designed by Yann Le Coroller, the MacTablet concept comes jam packed with a detachable keyboard that doubles as a protective cover. There is no word yet on the release date.

SoundGate Tablet/ Laptop Hybrid For Musicians
Designed by Nicolas Gonzalez Garrido, the SoundGate is a tablet/laptop hybrid that was made especially for musicians. It allows them to record sessions, transcribe their music, and write out their next single. The tablet boasts a 10-inch touchscreen LCD, a flip-style QWERTY keyboard, a volume knob and jog dials, and a special stand. Unfortunately, the SoundGate is only a concept…
