my school does an exchange with ehwa too...but i didn't go there
i think ehwa is yonsei's sister school, so i'm pretty sure that the teacher's english will be fine.
the parts of ehwa campus that i saw were really nice, and shopping in edae is a lot of fun!
that's about all i know tho

I heard that it rains the most during the summer, is it true?
Also, anyone know if there's a Little Manila (Filipino area) of some kind in Seoul? I can't live without my bagoong hahah.

usually by aug it clears up and gets super hot.
i dunno if there are any filipino towns in seoul...the one "japanese town" that was on a map i got, i couldn't find...
but there's probably filipino food there...
you might have to try itaewon, it's like *the* foreigner place...

yepp, it's raining now... it's basically very hot (even hotter than the Philippines sometimes, i heard) and it would rain a lot...
Yepp, Korean Air's pretty nice. ^^
and about the Filipino Community... i heard it's on every Sundays... for Church time. ^^ But i haven't tried going yet... x.x

two of my friends are going to yonsei this summer and i've been kinda interested in going next summer
little mixed girl--if your university offered an exchange program with ehwa, why did you decided to go to yonsei twice even tho there were those annoying krn-americans during the first summer? lol.
and what about the last "best" Korean University--Koryo University? is there an exchange program there too? Anybody know what it's like?
Also, for the whole "scandalous" clothing deal, i noticed that different parts of Seoul have their more...conservative and liberal sides. like the area where my grandparents live is extremely conservative...ppl looked at my shorts as if i wasn't wearing any shorts...and they weren't even short compared to what some girls can pull off in the US lol.
night life and popular places for the "younger crowd" would prolly accept more "revealing" outfits...like the shopping places like Dongdaemun, Myungdong, and Apgu right?
and for the 100,000 won...it's more like a check but if you lose it, anybody can use it so IMO, i'd would just be safe and stick to the 10,000 won :] maybe things have changed over the years iono but yeah i would personally just be safer than sorry ^____^

But on another note, is anyone going to Yonsei this Fall for exchange? (Not for the summer term.)

Kamusta mare?
Ajou University is in Suwon. Suwon is one hour south of Seoul. Ajou is known for its engineering and medical majors.
dang I picked the wrong time to go to korea! I just watched "Summer Scent" drama and always figured the weather that occured in that drama is the same weather you see during the summer in Korea.
I heard that the OFW area of Seoul is in Hyewa which is northern seoul. I think thats where the Tagalog Church is at as well. Wanna go with me there someday?

Oh... my best Korean friend goes to KyungHee University in SuWon... i've been there once, and it's not too far... I live a bit farther, in Cheonan. x.x Hehehe... but it's all good. ^^
So, you're going there just for exchange or you're doing an undergraduate course? My school's also more into the engineering stuff, and robots... cool, techie things, which i'm not good at... x.x hahaha...
You're funny, going here cos of your korean drama fascination!~ (errr, me too... cos of kpop obsession. hahaha...)
*well, there were plenty of rain in Summer Scent drama, don't ya remember? (To remind you: Son YeJin and Song SeungHun were up in the mountains during the first few episodes and got stuck there cos of rain... hehe...)
okay then, tell me when and where... haha.. it's always fun to meet new people.!~ ^^

also i wanted to learn more korean. korea is pretty cool minus those annoying folks at the university~
and yeah, it depends on where u wear the clothes.
if i wear short shorts to hongdae during club night, no one cares; but walking around at 1pm (even in shinchon!) i got some weird looks...
