i dont think many of the chinese/taiwanese singers could be counted as most popular in asia..cuz most of korea and japan dont really kno hoo jay chou n other ppl are.. da most popular i think is bi ayumi hamasaki boa n .. i think da ones that r most popular around asia are korean n japanese celebrities. i mean chinese/taiwanese singers arent very popular ( most dont kno much of em ) in south korea.. since they are a very closed society..they are more open to american style..than other asian countries..since most of asia follow korean/japanese styles in my opinion

i dunno, some ppl have been saying theres a growing amount of chinese media fans in japan. anyway, F4 is big in japan.

I totally agree! I really wish the most popular Asian popstar was a super talented singer-songwriter (like Leehom, David Tao, etc.) and not some pop idol. He's vocally talented, there's no denying that, but he's famous for other reasons (his dancing, his physique...)
