Liked it. The costumes were gorgeous. Keira Knightley's performance was superb. Her best to date, I feel. The man who played the duke is, in fact, the same man who plays Voldemort! Interesting.
The film is based on a book, I believe? Will check it out when I can.
For now, but not for long.

I know a lot of people are fans of this film and it is directed by the great Takashi Miike but it's thumbs down for me. It has the potential to be a great film but it was just trying too hard to be a cool high school gangster flick. Tsk. And Kuroki Meisa's singing sucks! She doesn't have the talent for crying out loud! I've recently heard that she released an album so I'm basically appalled by it. Duh!

This was an okay movie, but you won't understand what the point of the movie is until you get toward the ending. It's a simple movie, and it was fun to watch (while feeling awkward too). I honestly thought it was a silly movie at the beginning, but the ending changed my mind. Japanese movies like Love Letter and such are touching. It always makes me wonder why American movies can never be like those.

Watched it with my friends two days ago.
Some of them don't really like it, but the rest and I thought it was pretty good.

Overheard - was pretty good. Awesome to see a HK movie at the cinemas
Public Enemies - it was okay... I was told the ending was sad so was expecting like
GI Joe - good, lots of action. Channing is not that hot IMO
