It was a really great movie, but there were quite a few sad parts ; O ;

I didn't want to watch this movie for the longest time (I got it mixed up with another movie, I forget the title) but I finally watched it today. I thought it was really sad that Liam Neeson's wife dies at the beginning of the movie -- it reminded me of his real-life wife, Natasha Richardson's death. My favorite characters got the saddest endings btw.

Someone in the Foreign Film Recommendation thread recommended this one (comparing it to Lust, Caution). I'm glad I saw this because as much as I adore Ang Lee, I have to agree with the poster that Black Book was better executed compared to Lust, Caution. Wonderful acting by the lead actress, Carice van Houten, (although the acting was pretty solid in L, C as well) and everyone else in the movie for that matter. Also I liked the ending better (most of Lust, Caution was okay, I just didn't like how awkward the ending was).

It was a stupid and confusing mess! I don't recommend it to anyone. Please don't waste your money on this crap, download it or something hahaha.

Directed by Maximilian Schell, it's a documentary about the legend that is Marlene Dietrich. The voiceover is her interview with Schell (over a period of six days) in German and English. You never see her except in clips of her old movies or performances because she refused to be videoed or photographed in her older years. It is full of quotable quotes from Marlene herself (On Orson Welles: "You should cross yourself when you say his name!"). The ending is heartbreaking.

Parasomnia (2008)
William Malone film. A horror. It wasn't too bad for a non commercial make. Nostalgic in parts of the old theatrical horrors like, dare I say it? Hitchcock!
Yep, it looks like a budget cut but the concepts were original and showed much potential in a genre currently ridden with lackluster chop flops!

It was cute, but I thought Lee Pace's British accent was a bit dodgy. :x

I love it! Very cute and funny. Not the average rom-com chick flick ^^
Kinda sad with the ending though.
